With the Disney Sea update, DIG, Nightmare information and the Fantasmic column, today was a great update. Actually when I come to think of it, Mouseplanet's updates have been up a notch for awhile..even before the Disney Sea updates. Adriennes, Al, Kevins, Christopher and the rest of the gang, keep up the great work!!

I don't want to risk getting this thread closed, however I have to ask.....

There just isn't much desire to spend big on anything Park related yet, (no matter what Pressler may hint at in any kind of interviews)

I suspect a good majority of posters here can recognize which interview is being referenced to, but now I have to ask....

Unless there's something personal going on here, must Disney fansites sit and snipe at each other like that? And yes, I know The Other Site lashed out a bit in an allusion to MousePlanet during said interview but this is getting rediculous. The icing on the cake is that the teachings of Walt Disney included things like sharing and the perennial favorite, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." And no, I'm refering to the sites' opinions of each other, not how MP views DCA.

[opinon]I don't mean to be a grump or a whiner, and I appreciate the updates, but everything got out of hand when fansites started blowing into startup companies with CEOs and Chairmen and other corporate titles, then started competing with one another.[/opinion]

I think the point of that comment in Al's update was directed at Paul Pressler, not Laughing Place. I think Al was saying that Paul Pressler was implying in the interview that he (Pressler) was going to be spending big money in DL in the near future. Al was saying that he didn't think that was going to be the case.

I'm not sure I understand what constituted a "snipe" in that comment by Al (at least toward Laughing Place)?

Well, to be fair, the reference was to what Mr. Pressler said, not anything regarding competitor fansites. Any information given in a public interview by a high profile newsworthy person is fair game in my book. But that's my opinion.

Plus, when one starts a business, you gotta have job titles. Even the State of California form for incorporating insists on it. :)

I am sorry Mike but I have to agree with EanCdad and Sheila! No matter how i read that statement I can't see anything being said bad about LaughingPlace, just Pressler.

and further more...not only that...but...

So there.

BUT...as much as I like LP and respect Doobie...if Presslump thought he was going to get the hard balls he wouldn't have done the interview. And I have the impression he's capable of spinning even the nitro throws into fluffy strings.

Al wasn't knocking LP.

But that was a good Q Mike.
