I was given this plate a week ago. I have no idea where it came from or how it was used. I can't read the back clearly but it may say "Best China" then "U S A" under that and "DDC-1" at the bottom. There is a design with writing above those three lines but I can't make the words out.

I'd really appreciate any help you can offer.

tx!

Did you try ebay? My hubby is always finding all kinds of things on there. Good luck!

Kind of reminds me of the plates they used to use at Riverbelle Terrace.

Thanks for the suggestion TulaBelle! I'd checked ebay when I first got it but didn't find anything. I went back and found one! I don't know how accurate the description is but it says probably from 70's-80's and used at the restaurants in Disneyland. The seller calls it a vintage restaurant china dinner plate "Homer Laughlin U.S.A". It was the "Homer Laughlin" and "Lead Free" below it that I couldn't make out.

Thanks folks~

Homer Laughlin is the maker of Fiestaware (made in the USA), they make dinnerware for restaurants, currently examples are Olive Garden and Applebees. When I saw the pattern, I though Riverbelle Terrance too... Sounds like a grand find to me !!!
