Sorry I keep posting about hotels. I am just looking for opinions. Although I think this one might be the one that fits us best with the C2 room as we will have two families. I think this will be a huge adjustment for me as I am picky with hotels I stay in. Seeing as we are going with another family I am going to go with the flow and keep telling myself how much money I will be able to spend elsewhere than on a room. I figure we won't be there much except to sleep as we are doing the city pass so we will be at a park of some sort each day.
Anyways, any advice tips that will make this a better stay?

Make sure you're aware that there is ONE car per suite/room even if it's the one that sleeps 10 people. Parking at this property is very tight and IMHO the worst on the entire Harbor 'strip' but the hotel staff are really nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable if a bit 'rundown' looking compared to some of the other properties. The free breakfast isn't worth getting up early for so you might consider some quick foods in the rooms.

What happens if there is more than one car?

You have to park offsite and it costs between $15 to $20 per night. It has been several years since we ran into the second car issue but I'd call the hotel directly and find out who they have the overflow agreement with now. I do know that they make absolutely NO exceptions to the 1 car rule and if you have an oversized vehicle you will have a problem with the parking.

What happens if there is more than one car?Last time we asked about this, the parking was at the convention center and was $15 a day. This was about a year ago.

I recently emailed them and they Said they would allow for a second car if they had availability. But you don't really know until you get there. We opted to look elsewhere because with the possibility of another $15 per night it was cheaper to get two rooms elsewhere.

I just spoke with them and they are now allowing multiple cars. Parking is $8 per car. If there is no parking available onsite, they will redirect you to parking in their "overflow lot". Curious where that is. He said "It depends on the day."

Interesting. My email was more vague on the availability. There was no mention of the overflow parking so I assumed that if they didn't have room you'd have to pay the $15 per night for overflow.

Please know that the beds here are very hard and we found them to be uncomfrontable. I know every one has a different comfort level but we won't be staying here because of the beds.

I agree about the beds.

The parking fee seems to be cropping up at other places; I'm sure it's so they can charge more without raising rates. ADI&S had attendants last month, but may have just been due to New Year. We stay here all the time. I sleep terribly anywhere, but never particularly noticed these beds as too bad, and I have a waterbed at home. Room we had last month was freshly refurbbed. New bedspreads and such, flatscreens and in room safes. Don't know how much of property has received the makeover. We've stayed here often and will do so again. Most Harbor breakfasts barely meet the minimum definition. The Riviera on Katella has toast, apples, and (I'm not making this up) individually wrapped Hostess cupcakes and.....well.....that's all.
A bientot.

I think every hotel has horrible beds so I am just expecting it. I will not let that deter me as it is always a given to bed that beds will not be comfy. I know this is a lower end hotel and I usually don't stay at lower end hotels and I still think the higher end hotels don't have comfy beds.

I don't know if you've made up your mind yet about this hotel, but wanted to add my 2 cents. We stayed there last November with 6 children and 3 adults. I will agree about the beds as previous posters mentioned; but only elaborate to say, after many hotel stays these rate up there with some of the most uncomfortable. That being said, here's what I loved about the hotel. It was clean, the maid service was awesome. The pool and hot tub were clean and a great temp. for kids and adults. They upgraded out room for free so we went from the Yuha kids suite to the double room with 4 queen beds @ checkin for free. The breakfast buffet on the roof top was very good. Same food every day, but hot and filling, there were many choices. It was also within walking distance even with all the kids. I can't speak to the parking fee, or how many spots you get, but they were very accomodating to us and I would think this would extend to the parking spots as well. Good Luck whatever you decide and enjoy your trip!
