It has been several years and I was wondering what the current cost is for the photopass at Disneyland. Thanks

$59.95 for the CD. $14.95 per print or for downloading one photo.

Get a Disney Visa and you can get one free character photo each day if you visit the private card member meet and greet.

I second this. We went 3 times during our trip so we got 3 free 5x7 photos. Now they allow you any picture you want as long as there's a character in it. They used to only allow it for the meet & greet and we were a little tired of Pluto and Chip & Dale. Once in awhile you'd get a CM who'd allow a different picture but this trip they told me I could pick any picture with a character. We did choose one from the meet & greet but got another with Donald and another with Mickey. I make sure they take the picture with my camera too in case I want that picture for our Christmas card.

We have a Disney Visa and I didnt know about this perk. Great! Can you please provide some addl info on how you get the free picture that is not at the meet and greet? Where are the meet and greet locations for the two parks?

The meet and greet is in CA next to Monsters inc. during the morning hours (not sure of exact hours). Just show up and present you Disney Visa and you get a coupon for a free 5x7. You redeem it at any of the disney photo pass locations in the park.

They do the meet & greet for 1 1/2 hours starting a half hour after DCA opens. So when we went, they opened at 10am & the meet & greet started at 10:30-12pm. The first 1/2 hour was Pluto, the 2nd 1/2 hour was Chip & Dale, & the 3rd 1/2 hour was Pluto again. You can use the coupon at either park's photo areas. We did both. You can pick any picture on your photo pass card that has a character in it. So you wouldn't be able to choose one a photographer took in front of the castle. But any other place you get a character works. We got sailor Mickey at Paradise Pier and Donald in the Hollywood Backlot.

They covered that really well. The pick any character photo is a fairly new policy, and it makes me wonder if it has anything to do with Greetings (the regular photopass shop at DCA) being closed. It was still open in May, and we still had to choose from the meet and greet pictures. In which case, will that again be policy when the photopass store reopens?
Right now photopass in DCA is a cart near Soarin'. Across next to the store. I will say in December, we were able to use any character picture, and we used the photopass at DL, which in the past was harder to find a CM who was trained to use the voucher. They would usually have to get a lead to help them get it rung up right.

The new vouchers also say they expire in September, 2012. At least the ones we got in November and January did. We didn't have DD with us in Jan, so DH and I decided to save the voucher for our June trip. Also, they counted Santa Claus as a character in November. I had to ask, and someone checked, but in the end they decided he was a character. Last June DD had her picture taken with Snow White. It happened that the picture was still on our card when DH and I went in September. My MIL was keeping DD for the weekend, so we had that picture printed as a thank you gift. That was the first time we were told we could have any character picture.

So I go to the Meet and Greet, get the picture there or get a voucher. If I get the voucher, I need to go to the DCA Photopass Cart/Store in DL and present the voucher and they will print out the photo we took with another character. Is that right?

You do not pick up the picture at the Meet and Greet. You will be given a voucher that you can use for any character picture.

You go the the Meet and Greet and they give you a voucher. You have to show your card too. Then you go behind the screen and meet whichever character is back there. They take your picture. Later you go to one of the photo stores (DCA or DL) and you get to choose any character picture that is on your card. They print it, and it's free with the voucher.

I forgot to add that if the CM doesn't offer a border on the picture then ask for it. It's free and there's a bunch to choose from. You can get the year printed on it too.

Some even offer autographs as well as borders. The borders can be seasonal as well as things like Happy anniversary, etc. Slight side note, I got the impression that the meet and greet at WDW does print your picture right there and they don't go on your photpass, while on the phone with a photopass CM (you get Florida when you call), anyone know if this is accurate? I do like how ours is set up.
In the past we have had blurry or missing meet and greet photos (something with the camera) and they have substituted any other picture on our photopass card.

We did the Florida meet & greet in 2008 and, I'm pretty sure, in 2011. I know in 2008 it was a voucher. Assuming we did it in 2011 it was a voucher again. I'm a bit fuzzier on that trip, even though it was more recent. I do know that we never managed to redeem the vouchers and did not get any prints. I would think that a policy change such as you are describing would have made the (Disney internet) news and I don't recall hearing/reading anything to that effect. If there has been a change, it was probably a recent one.

Hmmm, we had gone to the meet and greet on the second and third days of our trip in Decmeber. The first voucher I was really good and got the picture that night before leaving. The second one, I spaced getting it that day, and when I went on our last day, I tried 3 times but the computers were down that whole time. Which I noticed as we were leaving, affected the turnstyles who had to ID all AP's since the pictures are part of that system. I was bummed because this was our only trip with our friends, it was celebrating our joint anniversarys, I had gifted the first picture to the other couple.... I really wanted the picture. So, after a couple of weeks, I decided to call photopass and see what they could do. The CM was confused a bit, she said we get the pictures right at the meet and greet. (I had told her California), I explained to her that we got a voucher in CA, and picked it up from photopass later. She placed me on hold again (she had gotten that answer after placing me on hold the first time) after verifying I had a voucher. She was able to help me in the end, I faxed her my voucher, she emailed me a coupon code. I was surprised the code included shipping as well. I was a happy girl, but it made me wonder about Florida's handling of the meet and greet photos. So, thanks for your answer. :)

Hi! I'm new to this forum. I will be going to DLR in a few weeks for the second time, and I'm curious about the Photopass CD. I've never bought it at WDW, but it seems cheaper here, so it can be an option. I have to admit that normally we take fewer than 20 photopass pictures, and I usually buy the calendar.
I'm out of country, so the Disney Visa is not an option for me.
Thanks for your help.

Yes you can but you can't add the borders to the pictures in the park.

But, if they are traveling with a laptop they can do it online in their room at night. (I've done it ;))

We bought our photopass CD at Disneyland at the photo shop at the end of Main Street. Actually, I bought an empty CD case with a voucher to use online at www.disneyphotopass.com to order the CD after our trip. It came with a CD of stock Disney photography too. Kind of fun. I think it was about $60. After we got home, I entered my photopass number into the site, uploaded all my photos and added borders, signatures, etc. to each photo - many versions of each photo (remember to size them each for 4x6 AND 5x7 so you have the right deminsions for printing). It was a bit of work, but well worth it when my 30 photos turned into well over 200. I entered the voucher number at check out and about a week or so later, I had my CD and got my photos printed at Costco, posted them on FB, etc. In fact, my avatar photo is from photopass! :) (me and Minnie)

I think it's a much better deal to to Photopass at WDW where there are so many more photopass photographers hanging around four parks, resorts and the water parks. You get more bang for your buck. It was a little harder to justify 2 1/2 days of photo pass photos at Disneyland on a CD, but I wanted the pics with borders and you can't add them to your own without paying an arm and a leg anyway, so, I did it.

We also got our free Visa print too - at the park. And yes, i got to pick another photo from that day to get printed. The CM added the cutest Pluto border for us. Fun memories. :)

Since they are out of country, customs to ship it might be an issue.

Do you remember how long ago you did this? I think I recall you or someone else posting about this a long time ago and wanted to do around June/July 2011. When I asked the CM at the photoshop at Disneyland, she looked at me as though I was crazy. Granted, I might not have done the best job describing what I wanted, but I thought I was close enough that if it was still for sale they would have figured out what I was talking about.

I'm not sure which part you are asking about. The CD is the same price online. The stock photos were still being offered when I ordered some stuff from our May trip, it even brought them up when I logged in.
