The sometimes bullying Disney management types may have met their match in the form of the 53 Stuntmen and Actors of the Moteur, Action...! Stunt Show Spectacular. The cast of the show officially went on strike around June 19th after management demanded a change in their work schedule that would have them working regular 5 days weeks instead of their current 4 days on / 3 days off schedule. This would be done without any increase in pay while still performing the same number of shows each day as before, while working an extra 47 days each year without any incentive, not to mention the increased in strain to their bodies, since Stunt Work isn’t exactly something anyone can do. So far Disney has claimed the show was down for Technical Problems, but the work about the strike is quickly spreading. The groups have reportedly met once so far where Disney management denies their claims that their contracts were signed based on the 4/3 work week schedules. So until an agreement comes to pass, the strike will continue on throughout the busy summer season, removing the number one rated attraction in the park.
