I heard briefly that the Disney Store was selling a Bruce antenna topper (from Finding Nemo) but they had to pull it due to a lawsuit. Has anyone heard this? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts - thanks!

While I still haven't seen Nemo, if the shark is really named "Bruce" then Universal might have something to say (the rubber "Jaws" shark at Universal parks is named "Bruce"). To me, I'd think Pixar naming a shark "Bruce" is an homage to the Jaws shark--but Universal's legal department may have other opinions.

Yes, the great white in "Nemo" is really named Bruce, but while the Jaws shark was nicknamed Bruce, and that's why the rubber sharks at Universal might also be called Bruce, I'd have to say it would be a hard point for Universal to make. It really is somewhat of an inside joke, though not terribly secretive, but it's nowhere near on the scale of Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny or Felix the Cat, etc.

I don't think anyone could say they own exclusive rights to name sharks "Bruce" (or is this going to escalate into another 'Pooh-gate' ? ):geek:

Why not ask who owns the rights to all Australian characters named Bruce and let Monty Python in on the fun!

All Australians ARE called either Bruce, Blue..... or Bear.

The man you call Paul Hogan is an animatronic sock-puppet.
