Windows XP has been made idiot proof, so you can't go into the program files and deleate your cookies, temp files and history as you used to be able to. I know you can deleate them by going to Tools > Internet Options, however I prefer being able to go in and deleate.
Is there any way to unidiot proof XP?
Thanks!

Try Downloading Window Washer or Windows and Internet Cleaner Pro- check if they are compatibale with XP. That should do it.

Or do it the FREE Way:
Clear Cookies:
Start -> Contol Panel -> Network & Internet Connections -> Internet Options -> Delete Cookies...
Clear Temp Internet Files:
Start -> Contol Panel -> Network & Internet Connections -> Internet Options -> Delete Files...
Clear General Temp:
Start -> All Programs -> Accesories -> System Tools -> Disk Cleanup
After It Runs, check all but "Compress old files". Also, you can go to the "Advanced" tab, and clean out all of your system restore files. :D :geek:

Or Files Are In:
C:\Documents & Settings\(Your User Name)\Cookies
C:\Documents & Settings\(Your User Name)\Local Settings\Temp
C:\Documents & Settings\(Your User Name)\Local Settings\Temperary Internet Files
Plus:
You need to click "Show Hidden Files and Folders" in Folder Options (Can Be Found in any window under "Tools" or in the Control Panel. Also Uncheck "Hide Protected Operating..." and igore the error.
(FYI: Even after being a XP beta tester, :geek: me went out and bought a copy on the day it came out. I was one of the 4 people waiting for the store to open at 10! :D )
