View Full Version : Inconstancies in Forum Titles:
MonorailMan 06-07-2003, 08:22 PM Check this out:
Mousepad Main Page:
Disneyland Resort
ANAHEIM: Disneyland, Disney's California Adventure, hotels.
Walt Disney World Resort
ORLANDO: Walt Disney World, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom, hotels.
Disneyland Paris Resort
Disneyland Paris, Disney Village, Walt Disney Studios, hotels
Disney Resorts in Asia
ASIA: Disney parks and resorts in Japan and Hong Kong
All of the Disney forums have location titles (such as ANAHEIM:), but the Paris forum! I just found it strange that all of them have the title, but the Paris forum. :)
Also, the Paris, Asia, and Columns General forums are lacking periods at the end of their description.
I'm one of those nit-picky people, who makes everything look the same.
HB Tigger Fan 06-07-2003, 09:57 PM Not that I am speaking for the Admin...One reason I can think of that they say "Anaheim" and "Flordia" is that not all people know that the Disneyland Resort is in Anaheim and theWDW Resort is in Flordia, and they want to clarify for those non-Disney addicts who post looking for advice :)
Sheila 06-08-2003, 01:14 AM MM, DLP Resort has the word "Paris" in its title already. None of the other forums do.
Now about your thread title.... :p
EandCDad 06-08-2003, 05:21 AM I agree that the forum titles are fickle and change often for no apparent reason. Well, I don't actually agree, in fact, I disagree. I'm so inconstant.

WRONG! :p The Asia forum has both locations in the title, and the description. :D :geek:
Not Afraid 06-08-2003, 09:48 AM Disneyland Paris Resort
Marne-la-Valle Disneyland Paris, Disney Village, Walt Disney Studios, hotels
Does that help of hurt the description?

Let me try again. Disneyland (the original) and Walt Disney World do not have their respective city names in their titles. Disneyland *Paris* does. It would be redundant to put the word "Paris" in again.
Because the Asia forum contains parks in two different cities, that's why they need to be specified (that is, Hong Kong and Japan).
Does this clear it up?

The theme park is no longer called " Disneyland Paris ".
It's now called " Parc Disneyland ", and the resort is called
" Disneyland Resort Paris " not " Disneyland Paris Resort ".

MonorailMan 06-09-2003, 07:54 AM Maybe I had you confused Sheila (or I don't want to let it just die) ;)
I'm talking about the large uppercase location heading, in each description. So, if your idea about how Paris doesn't need one, because "Paris" is in the title, is true. Then the Asia forum shouldn't have the uppercase location heading, because "Asia" is also in the title! :)
(Still got way too much time on my hands) :)

Here's some ideas of how to productively spend some of your time. (http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?threadid=15859) You work in a library, no?

But Paris is a city and Asia is a continent with two separate Disney Parks in two separte locations.

That was it's original name, but I stopped calling it that in respect and support for the reason they changed the name to Disneyland Paris. The name change did wonders for gaining the French support of the park, a European identity and financial success.
zapppop 06-09-2003, 08:05 PM Actually they had no problems getting the french into the park.
The problem w/ Euro Disneyland in the beginning was Disney expected a target audience w/ the same spending habits as the Japanese. Had they re-adjusted their finances @ the beginning, they would've been fine.
