Just saw a trailer for Disney Universe on the Wall-e Facebook page. Looks like a fun kid-oriented game. I may pick it up for my nieces and nephew for Christmas...

From the site:

Disney Universe is an off-the-wall non-stop action adventure where Disney worlds and characters mix up for the first time. Suit up in iconic costumes and face challenges in legendary Disney worlds. Defeat enemies, collect coins and powerups, unlock new costumes and explore with friends as you battle in a mix-up of worlds inspired by numerous Disney and Pixar films.

Suit-up for action as more than 40 classic and contemporary Disney characters including Alice, Mike, TRON and Stitch.
Mischief, magic and mayhem reign as players explore 6 different worlds inspired by Disney and Pixar films.
Team up with up to four friends to solve puzzles or defeat enemies or toss your friend into trouble!

Looks like Little Big Planet with a little more third dimensional gameplay. Color me intrigued.

So who got to try out DU at the Expo this weekend?

Every time I went by, the line seemed longer than I was hoping to wait it. But I did get to watch some other people playing and the game looked pretty fun. Especially for the little ones.

I went to a games expo called GameFest this past weekend (in the UK), it was fantastic, and one of the new games on trial was Disney Universe! As nearly everyone else there seemed to want to play "Call of Death/Hero/Kill Something Nastily", I got to play my favourite type of games, platformers, without too much wait. So - Disney Universe then. One word.

A-MAZE-ING!!!

It was funny, fun, fast, hard enough to be challenging but not too hard that you get fed up and give up when you've fallen off something and died for the umpteenth time, and the best bit? When you smash up objects, you are rewarded with coins that are shaped like Mickey ears!!

It was absolutely great fun, and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Unfortunately, even though it will be released in the UK in the next month or so, I may have to wait until after Santa has been to play it at home. Ho hum, all good things etc etc.

I did get a chance to see the demo of that at the D23 Expo too. It looked like a fun game too. Although I think most of the Kinect games are pretty goofy when you are watching someone else play, the people playing it seemed to be having fun.

Has anyone played the Disneyland Kinect game yet? I purchased it as a gift for my gf for Christmas, but I haven't played it yet. Best Buy had it on sale for $20 on Monday, I couldn't pass it up.
