We're headed to SoCal in August (me, hubby, dds age 6 and 4, au pair transitioning out and au pair transitioning in) and will be staying with my in-laws.

Every time we do this trip we (me, au pair, kids, sometimes grandma) do DL/DCA, usually just for one day, but sometimes more.

This time Grandma who is a SoCal resident will want to go and can buy the discounted summer passes for us.

But I don't really feel like going! I should be dying to ride the new Star Tours. The kids have more endurance, don't need any special baby/little kid stuff with anymore, can ride more rides. Our new au pair will be there and she'll probably love to see Disney. But I just can't get the enthusiasm up for it.

If I ask the kids, I know they will say they want to go and they want to do Jedi Training and eat with the Princesses. Then second most they will want to ride Star Tours and the Teacups, and see the parade and see Aladdin.

Don't know why it is not feeling like it will be fun to me, but it isn't. Should I just let it go this time and wait til I'm feeling it, or go anyway knowing that I'll have a blast when there?

What do you think? The kids are going to do Legoland this time and will be happy enough at Grandma's that they probably won't mind too much....I think....

If you aren't up to it, then don't go. They will probably not miss it if you don't mention it. I would wait until you are up to it.

You could plan on everyone else going and you having the day to yourself, then tag along if you want too when the time comes.

If you don't want to go, don't go. Legoland will be fun for the kids and they have the new water park and the newish aquarium there too.
It might be nice to change things up a little bit.

If your not wanting to go, see about going another time.

Can grandma take the kids with the Au Pair and give you a day off? :)

Otherwise, if you don't go and don't bring it up, probably not a big deal.
