If you click here (http://www.urbanoutfitters.com) and then do a search under "all" catergories for Atari you will see the one of the coolest things to be brought back in a long time, in thee coolest way :D

What else have you seen come back in unique ways? We've all seen the Care Bears and SBS come back in the form of t-shirts and key chains. Lets see what else we see :D

I used to love my 2600. I bought it myself with money I earned mowing lawns and the like. I remember the night we brought it home my parents stayed up hours later than normal to play it. The day I 'flipped' Pac-Man, meaning scoring so high it turns over to zero again, I was literally the first kid on the block to do so, my dad had all the neighbors in our livingroom watching me. There were about 20 people there cheering me on and when it was over my dad drove me into 'town' (we lived in a little farming community outside Tucson) because he promised to buy me another game if I managed the 'flip'. We went to K-mart and I picked out Defender. I eventually sold it at a yardsale when it became clear that the fancy Nitendo was the wave of the future.

I still have my 2600. :) It's packed away but I still have it :)

My favorite 2600 games were the Activision games (Dragster, Yar's Revenge, etc). I also liked Pitfall and Adventure.

I also still have my Colecovision, NES, Super NES, Genesis and Gameboy but they are also packed away. I think the only thing I didn't buy way back when was the Intellivision. I currently play with my Playstation, PS2, X-Box, Dreamcast and Gameboy Color. And of course my pc. Does anyone else still have their old game systems?

Playstation2 also has an Atari 2600 Retro Pack ROM featuring the best of the "Activision" games that were released (Pitfall, anyone?) :fez:

That collection of Activision games for the Atari 2600 has long been available for the PC as well. I bought it several years back.

I have Vol. 1, 2, & 3 of the Activision games for my PC. But what's apealling to me about the "game joystick" is just that...It's actually the old Atari joystick.

I used to love playing my Colecovision. :geek:

I also had a SNES and a PS1. Now I have a PS2. But since I finished 'Kingdom Hearts' I haven't touched it.

I love that Hot Topic revives stuff fo rtheir t-shirts. I saw a Charlie's Angels shirt there the other day that my sister wore. Pretty cool. :geek:

No thanks, I'd rather have this. (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=2233975&sourceid=1500000000000000629120)

More like the original games in the arcades. :)

I got one of these (http://www.thinkgeek.com/cubegoodies/toys/5d39/) for my birthday and it works okay, but for some reason Adventure is almost totally washed out. Some screens I can sort of make out where my "character" is, but others it's just pure white. It saddens me because Adventure was probably my favorite 2600 game and I can't play it.

I just got one (my sister got it as a freebie through work). Adventure works just fine for me. Strange.

There is a kiosk in the Westminster Mall that sells a 10,000 in one video game system. It's full of the old games and the controller is the shape of a new NES controller. I don't know if there are actually 10,000 games in it. I did a brief scroll of them and there are some killer games in it. If I had $50 I'd buy it.

Speaking of $50, remember when the 2600 was toted as "Under 50 bucks"?

I am in love with our new 10 game joystick. Old school joystick, 2600 visuals....the only way it could be better is if it came with more games. :D

Centipede is MUCH Better with the old arcade rollerball and fire button. All I can say is OUCH!

I'm having issues with breakout, I over compensate on the joystick. I miss the paddle on this one.

I bought 4 of these for Christmas. Bought them at Costco for $17.99 each. One for each household on my mom's side (including ours). I cannot wait to plug it in. I cannot wait to see it in action.

My favorite Atari game was Megablasters. I used to spend hours playing that game!

Once we purchased our Nintendo in 1986 (when the system came with a robot), my parents gave away our Atari with like 100 games. Huge collective regret in the family over that one, especially since we all had games we loved on that system.

My favorite old video game system was the Colecovision. Best reproduction of arcade favorites there was at the time.
