View Full Version : Free Ice Refills?
Is ice still offered as a free refill at places like Rancho Zocala, Redd Rockets, etc?
What about water from self serve stations (would rather not use public fountains-so many people put their mouths on them!) We will be a party of 7 and hope to get ice refills, so wanted to plan ahead if there was a charge. A year and a half ago we did not encounter any issues but there was only 3 of us then.

If all you want is ice, you'll be able to get free refills of that at just about any place you go to that has it, not JUST Rancho Del Zocala or Red Rocket's Pizza Port. Those two places are among the few places in the park that provide free drink refills, yes, but if all you're looking for is ice or ice water, it's been my experience that any place will give those to you, and usually two glasses of it since the cups are on the small side.
Can we use our own containers rather than their cups? In the past we did, I just wanted to make sure there was no change in how things we done.

I always get free ice water anywhere around the parks that has it. And then I transfer it to my reusable bottle. I never thought to ask if they could just fill up my bottle!

I aksed if they could fill up my water bottles with ice at the uh.. oh, what is that place called? TomorrowLand Terrace. They did not. They gave me two cups of ice water, and watched me dump both of them in one water bottle, and proceed to ask for more ice again.

It could be a problem/ gray area in the health code. I think it would depend on whether they are scooping or the ice comes out of the machine. I was surprised the other day at my local movie theatre, becuase the kid did fill it for me. He did take my water bottle to an unopen station and used that ice scoop.

yesterday at DCA and DL they were happy to give out small or large cups full of ice water but they said they are not allowed to fill up your own personal container.
