Thanks for the link!

Notice how the train starts on the top of the rail, exits the first loop on the bottom orientation, then flips around after the curve back to a top and takes the second loop on the outside, coming back on the bottom and flipping back to top.

I think I am seeing the tumble action - tough because of the twilight lighting. Almost looks like there are riders, but I suspect its just some sort of testing markers/device hanging off the lead cars.

Just looks to be a mean ride. For a comeback, looks like Arrow has a pretty spectacular ride. Now if only Vekoma could finish up Deja.

I am pretty sure its just dummies in the cars if anything... Its only the third day of testing when that video was taken so I doubt they were ready to let humans take part.. Maybe some chimps though...(just a joke for all of you animal rights people out ther)

Those are just dummies in the vehicles. My friend who built the ride said they will look for volunteers soon after all tests are complete. Guess who will be volunteering. i will let you know how it was.

The testing for 'X' stopped on Tuesday night after several of the bolts that hold the cars together BROKE. The computers that were monitoring the ride showed that at several places, the stress was too much on the vehicles and the track. Modifications are being made at this time.

Also, because the cars are so heavy, the brakes that slow the cars down before they re-enter the station wore out after the few tests that were done.

The planned opening date if all tests would have gone right was 08/24 with an early morning media preview. The opening of course has been pushed back to an unknown date pending the repairs to the ride.

FYI, Deja Vu probably won't open until next year. Too many problems with the lift not catching the car after it goes through the first time.

That would be good if DejaVu did open. As far I knew, it wasn't even ready. But let's wait and see. The article only said 'confirmed' with no other details. I called SFMM and they wouldn't say either way.

I got an upclose look at DejaVu during construction and it doesn't look that exciting. Same as the ride at Knott's except you are suspended from the track. If anyone wants to wait in a long line, go ahead.

You would be suprised at the difference the orientation of the ride makes.... The boomerang part of the ride looks nuts

I messed up re DejaVu. My friend was talking about something else unrelated to it.

Regarding 'X' though, which is what this thread is about, no exact date has been set. The latest I have heard is that they tried testing it again on 08/19 in the evening when less people are around. They are only testing one train (made up of 7 cars). The link that holds the 5th and 6th cars together can not take the force and it breaks separating the cars. Also, after about the 35th run, the brakes wore out again approaching the station. These trains are extremely heavy and weigh approx 56000 pounds, unloaded!!! When 'X' was tested in the design stages, it was only tested with 1 car, not 7. Only missing about 48000 pounds.

Should be soon when they test with people and not far after that they should open to the public. I sure hope it opens by my birthday on the 30th of this month!! I dont know though!~
