I think what treelofan is talking about is that some boards that use this same software have enabled image uploading where you actually upload the image to the forum server instead of finding your own host.

To post images you need to use your own host. Then you can show your pictures here, following the guidelines Andrew has pointed out to you. There are many free image hosting websites out there. A popular one is Yahoo's Photo Album (http://photos.yahoo.com/) where you can create public photo albums. You can then link to the specific picture you want to show. You can also check with your ISP to find out if they offer free webspace. Many ISPs give 6-10 MB of free space.
