Hi guys! We have a trip coming up next week for 5 days at Disney (staying at Caribbean Beach, in one of the Pirate Rooms!) and our family had a couple of quick questions about Magic Kingdom. We are Disney vets and go almost every year, but it seems like right now is a time of change, especially at Magic Kingdom, and we haven't been since summer 2010.

So, for starters, is the Main Street Electrical Parade still the evening parade at Magic Kingdom? We thought it was closing at the end of summer, but then it was announced that it was extended. Now Disney's Web site is still advertising it, but it's also advertising SpectroMagic. If anyone knows of a place online where the daily Times Guide is posted, or if you can just answer this question, please let me know!

Also, MK has morning Extra Magic Hours all next week, from 7-8 a.m. The park officially opens at 8. Will the opening ceremony happen at 7, at 8, or both? We'd like to see it, but we aren't going to leave the park and re-enter just to see it. Thanks!

Also, 2 questions about Haunted Mansion: how is the queue update coming along, and is the ride still fully open due to this update? And have the hitchhiking ghosts been returned to their original glory, or are they still different, as I'd recently seen in another thread on here? Thanks!

MSEP is still playing in WDW. For times on the WDW website, go to Parks-Magic Kingdom-Calendar. I'm on my phone or I'd post the link.

The new interactive queue at the Haunted Mansion is in place and fully functioning. You have the option of going through it or skipping it and going directly to the entrance. And as to the hitchhiking ghosts, you may have seen a temporary version that was just a projection of the ghosts floating around. But the final version just started a few days ago, and involves the ghosts interacting with the guests, swapping their head for the guest's, blowing up the guest's head like a balloon, etc. It's some really cool use of digital technology, and I for one can't wait to see it for the first time in about three weeks!
