One of my favorite skits.....I have dozens and dozens......is Chris Farley and Patrick Swayze, dirty dancing. Classic.

Lately though, I've been talking about "Mom Jeans." I'd rather DIE than ever wear MOM JEANS, with the eight inch zipper and big ole butt! No way! Never. Thanks to that SNL commercial, it's an entire life goal for me.

Another favorite ad was a few years back, for "Litter Critters." I say "litter critter" about once a week, at least. It just rolls off the tongue. ;)

I've been watching on and off for EVER!

Rosanne Rosanadana talking about Violins/Violence and eating Oysters (or was that Emily Lutella?).

The "Gay" beer commercial -still my favorite.

Kate Bush performing on SNL

Lunch Lady sequence.

Living in a van down by the river.......

Because I'm good enough, smart enough, and, gosh darnit, people like me.

Jane you ignorant slut.

Or..."Samurai Deli"...or Optomitrist or...the list goes on.

The Original Blues Brothers.

And "OH NO!!" Mr. Bill.

When I was in high school...we started watching...and we are still watching...

cheeburgercheeburgercheeburgercheepcheep....

Neil Young singing Harvest Moon.

I fell in love with The Wild and Crazy Guys. When I was 5. 24 years later and Steve's still the hippest, coolest cat EVER.......

My parents (yes, the ones who let me watch the premiere of MTV and raised me on Starsky and Hutch and CHiPs) let me stay up every single Saturday night my entire life, so I could watch SNL. I was obsessed with the Coneheads as a five year. (We used to watch the Saturday night wrestling thing too.)

Every Thanksgiving, I sing "Pump it, pump it up" to the turkey.....thanks to Chris Rock.

Chris Farley as a Chippendales dancer.

I'm not sure of who the regulars were, but Heather Graham played a babysitter who had a three way with the couple she was sitting for and they did the awkward and hilarious conversation they would have when they came back downstairs.

Those cheerleaders always crack me up.

"Starrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaars, nothing but Starrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaars."

Chris Rock talking to black people about seeing the movie "Colors." "If you come back and see someone has taken your seat....let it lie."

Love "King Tut"...Steve Martin still ROCKS!! :D

When I went off to college, a guy in my Public Speaking class did a speech on "King Tut" and Steve Martin. The whole class was howling, as this had just come out.

And...Stink...we (hubby and I) still walk like the "Wild and Crazy Guys" when we get dressed to go out on Saturday nights (even though those are few and far between...)...:D

I'm all smiles now.:D

I will miss Chris Kattan.
I will not miss Tracy Morgan.

Some of my favorite things from SNL (in no particular order): Bass-O-Matic! "Mmmm, that's great bass!"
New Shimmer "It's a dessert topping AND a floor wax!"
The Church Lady "Well isn't that SPECIAL!"
Gumby's Christmas Special "And look at the ornament Sammy Davis Jr. sent over."
Schmidt's Gay Beer
Little Chocolate Donuts (a Wheaties cereal parody)
Emily Latella "What's all this fuss I'm hearing about...."
Roseanne Roseannadanna "It just goes to show you, it's always something!"
Gilda Radner in general (gawd I miss her!) :crying:
The Anal Retentive Chef
Phil Hartman (another comic genius we lost way too soon) :crying:
Subliminal Guy "So, how are youhot sexdoing this eveninghot sex?"
Mr. Bill
Lyle: The Effeminate Heterosexual "WHAAAAT?!? Well whatever gave you THAT ide-uh?"
Dennis Miller doing Weekend Update (for my money, the best WU ever, though Tina & Jimmy and Dan & Jane are/were good too)
"Jane, you ignorant slut!"
The Sweeney Sisters (lounge singer act)
The Coneheads
"I got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell!"
The Continental "Oh, I'm sorry! I seemed to have spilled champagne on your... boob."
Willie & Frankie (Billy Crystal and Christopher Guest played two guys who always managed to accidently inflict grievous injuries upon themselves and finish each other's sentences when describing it)
Harry Shearer and Martin Short as the male synchronized swimmers
The Ambiguously Gay Duo
Fernando's Hideaway "You lrook MAHvelous!"I could go on and on....

Remember the skit with Jim Belushi where he realized that the mat in front of the supermarket door will open any door so he cuts out new soles for his shoes and walks through the town with every door (and casket) opening along the way so he can leave them for his jerk boss who puts them on and falls down the elevator shaft? That was funny.
Or Eddie Murphy reading poetry in prison:
Dog barkin' in the night
do he bite?
Kill my landlord.
Kill my landlord.
C-I-L-L my landlord.

or the skit where he puts on make-up and goes around town as a white person and realizes how whites never have to pay for things and stuff like that,
Banker: let me get the straight Mr. eh, Mr. White, you want a loan of (X-amount) and you have no credit and no ID?
and of course he gets it. Does't ever have to pay it back.

Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood.
Joe Piscipo doing Sinatra
Steve Martin sharing his X-mas wish.
Wayne's World before it got old.
Norm McDonald doing Burt Reynolds on Jeapordy.

Funny,funny stuff.

I love Celebrity Jeopardy. Anal bum covers, The Rapists, etc. And to this day, whenever I hear the word Asia, I think to myself, "The audio daily double is...Asia. What continent is this?"

I haven't seen anyone mention two of my favorites: Linda Richman (she's like buttah,) and Opera Man.

The thing in our house for the past couple of years has been that we can't listen to Blue Oyster Cult without really really HEARING the cow bell.
