What r the possibilities of getting some more Smilies (ie crying, sleeping, kissing)

Also, why cant we post images using IMG in the community center (Lounge mainly but also in Administration)?

We can add more smilies. The problem is time and resources. Right now, none of the staff has the bandwidth to sit down and create the smilies. If some adventurous user would like to take the time to create some new ones, I will be happy to review them and upload them, if appropriate.

The image capability is technically turned on. We are not sure why this is not working properly, but we are investigating.

I want to follow up with this:

If you submit a smiley for us to add:

1) It must be original work, we can not accept smilies for other boards you may frequent. They are just really small pictures, but they are still copyrighted.

2) Make sure the .gif is close to the same size as our other smilies (approximately 15 pixels by 15 pixels) and no dimension should be greater than 22 pixels.

3) I don't like animated gifs. If you submit one, I will be arguing against it (I may lose, but I just wanted to let you know there would be at least one no vote).

Alex, I would also like to know why you don't like animated gifs. I think they are highly entertaining and are a wonderful addition to a board. I especially enjoy when the ;) actually winks, the  does roll his eyes, and 's eyes pop in and out. I also like the one where a little smilie is waving hello.

Okay, so I like pwetty things, but you can't hate me for that, can you? Especially when a lot of others like it. I know that you might say that its what is in the post that counts, but the smilies give a little something extra to the personality of the post.

I know that I have made this tooooo serious, but hey, why not?:D

There are a couple of new smilies that have been submitted and approved by the Moderation team. Some changes are coming soon for Mousepad, and the new smilies will be added then. The inline image problem should be resolved then as well.

oh no--I hate change. Please be gentle. As Marge says "I've dug myself a happy little rut here and I'm not about to hoist myself out of it."

Correction: change can be good. For example, from what I hear, Middle school is better than high schol. And I have to leave a lot of friends behind who are in younger grades! I will still see them at the Community Center, go to their houses, movies, etc, but I will miss them at school, the main socializing place!

Really, Change is change, it usually can't be good or bad it is just normal... change!!! By the way LB, High School is MUCH better than Middle School in MANY ways (you'll see). Just don't lose touch with your old friends.

Just so you know...the two smilies i submitted were created by me using the basic "smiling" smilie and altering it. It is not one i got off of the site i have been using for the animated ones. :)
