I just realised we will be there for mothers day this year, does anything special happen?

I was there a few years ago and they gave carnations to all the Mom's when they entered. It's also one of very few days that the TIW card isn't useful (or that was the case then).

They might have had an extra brunch or something (they often do at DL), but that's not my thing so I don't recall.

Are the parks fairly crowded on Mother's day? I am thinking MK might be. Doing a dudecation and will be there as well for some frivolity and racing! Curious to see how the minor Holiday affects the parks.

We did MK on Mother's day and YES it was crowed.
We then took the monorail to Epcot- and found it got more crowed during dinnertime- with all the great restaurants, understandable. :)
