By now I am sure most of the regular readers have heard me mention our upcoming family trip to WDW staying at the Villas at the Disney Institute for 11 days, all told the Resort magic package and airfaire comes to around $7000 (I live in Alaska not pain) Well my friends I am cancelling and getting back my monies, trip insurace will charge me about $75 but thats a small price, airfaire may be tricky but I will make up something like a family emergency or so, besides NorthWest flies to Japan I think, instead of december it will be february as this is the value season in Japan and its also -45 here, brrrrrr! So what do you folks think? Go to WDW? I have never been there, or go to TDS where obviouslly and profusely its what a Disney park should be (and more....) I am not afraid of Japan, I thinks its safer there than say Paris or England or even frankly even in the lower 48 :D

I think at this point since you have not gone to either location you should just stick with your original trip. WDW is great and you should have alot of fun. It would be different if you had already been to WDW but since thats not the case...well..go. But if you do cancel, 75 bucks is not bad for a penalty.

I say go to DisneyWorld. Eleven days in Disneyworld is great!

There's so much more to do in Disneyworld. I haven't been to TDS yet, but even though it is great, it doesn't (yet) compare to all that Disneyworld has to offer.

Tokyo is considered very safe. I felt no fear walking around. My female friend lives in the busiest part of town and she had no qualms about walking 20 minutes to her home alone through the streets at night. It's said that if you leave a purse on the subway it will still be there when you come back to look for it.

I think a trip to Tokyo would be wonderful. Not only would you get to see Disney's newest park, but you'd get a totally different experience just being in Japan, and seeing the sites there. The monorail is fun, but it doesn't compare to the bullet train. Instead of going to Japan at EPCOT - you can do the real thing!

Either choice will be a good one. Best of luck.

As good as TDS looks the WDW resort still has much more to offer. Not to mention it will still be rather cold in Japan, not -45 but still not Orlando type weather. I think it is good for all DL fans to experience WDW, Disney Magic overload, and you can also see IOA and USF. totaling 6 world class theme parks. Orlando wins in my opinion.

Yeah you are right I did plan for two days at IOA, I really wanted to see Spiderman and the Dr. Seuss land for my kids. All told it will be 11 days inside WDW and 3 at the Clarion to see Universal Escape. Oh well I will have to wait till sometime between dec 2002-feb 2003 to see TDS, unless my stocks get off theire buts, including the DISNEY stock.

Travel Tip:
When choosing France, England or Japan...consider the country where DEODERANT is a big seller domesticly.
