Hey,

We have just made plans for a vacation at the Contemporary Resort the first week of June. We will be traveling with two 4 year olds and a 6 year old. How "user" friendly is the CR for children? What is the best method for getting around the park with children this age. Is it feasible (based on distance and terrain) for the kids to walk to the Magic Kingdom? If not, how long is the trip via Monorail? We will only have two full days there. We are planning to go to Downtown Disney the night we get there and then again on our way out on our last day. The first day is definitely for the Magic Kingdom. Should we plan on two full days there or will it take that long? We are not planning to park hop since the cost, time and ages of the kids will be prohibitive to a good time. Any info on how to best use our time in the MK?

Thanks!

Dishie

Contemporary is terrific - you can walk to MK, take the monorail back in just a few minutes. Very child-friendly, especially Chef Mickey's. Nice pool area, fun boats and ferries... fun place.

I think you would find Animal Kingdom (especially) and MGM Studios to be a lot of fun for your kids. If you really only plan to spend 2 days in the parks, then MK will be your best choice since it is so close.

You should check out the articles about traveling with children in the WDW trip planning section of MousePlanet.
