I read in today's update that Disneyland has virtually ignored Halloween, except for, as the update put it,"a cast member party." Which if I remember right, was called "Little Monsters on Main Street."
I do seem to recall maybe 6 or 7 years ago, there was "Mickey's Halloween Treat." It was a separate ticket from the regular day's admission, and worked pretty much like Knott's Halloween Haunt.
I would say that they were about as scary as one could expect from a trip to Disneyland. Of course they're not to going to do anything remotely as scary as Haunt. Which is probably why they didn't do too well, and they stopped after a couple of years.
Though I do think that the "Fall-O-Ween" concept is pretty good.
It will at least make the guests feel like they're in the right season.
