I read in today's update that Disneyland has virtually ignored Halloween, except for, as the update put it,"a cast member party." Which if I remember right, was called "Little Monsters on Main Street."

I do seem to recall maybe 6 or 7 years ago, there was "Mickey's Halloween Treat." It was a separate ticket from the regular day's admission, and worked pretty much like Knott's Halloween Haunt.

I would say that they were about as scary as one could expect from a trip to Disneyland. Of course they're not to going to do anything remotely as scary as Haunt. Which is probably why they didn't do too well, and they stopped after a couple of years.

Though I do think that the "Fall-O-Ween" concept is pretty good.
It will at least make the guests feel like they're in the right season.

I did two years of Mickey's Halloween Haunt. Basically, they had stations where you could get some candy (think Smartees), and they added a couple of nice touches, like a person in full armor in the inside queue area for Haunted Mansion. They didn't do a whole lot more, though.

Two years ago the CM party was Little Monsters in DCA, not on Main Street. I don't know what it was last year.

I was really happy to read that maybe Disney wasn't going to ignore Halloween at the resort this year. While I would love to be able to attend a Mickey's Halloween Treat (never went to one when they had it), I would be happy just to have my pumpkin patch back in Town Square for a little while every year.
