Standard-Issue WDW Fruit Cup
(This one was at Wolfgang Puck Express)
Downtown Disney
It is what it is. Fine. Typical.

Breakfast pocket with roasted potatoes
Wolfgang Puck Express
Downtown Disney
You probably can't tell, but the size of the plate was like 14"! The pocket was pizza dough, filled with cheese, ham, onions, and eggs. MOM LOVED IT!

Belgian Waffle
Wolfgang Puck Express
Downtown Disney
YOWZA! This was BIIIIGGG. Dad ate every bite. For the cost, this is an excellent option! Why you would find yourself at DTD at breakfast, I don't know, but now we know where to go!

Cornflake French Toast
Wolfgang Puck Express
Downtown Disney
For the sweet tooth! This was amazing. REALLY good, and I don't usually like overly-sweet foods. I think that this would give the old tonga toast a run for its money!

Polynesian Pork Tacos
Kona Cafe
Polynesian Resort
Mom said that the flavor on these tacos (more like flatbread than tortilla) was stunning. It was flavorful without being too spicy. Definitely not the "usual" choice on the menu, but one that was a happy surprise.

Coconut Macadamia Chicken
Kona Cafe
Polynesian Resort
I DREAM about this meal. DREAM about it. It is 100% the best. Most of my "best" meals have been at Kona! The chicken has a panko breading which is light and crispy. Whatever glaze is on there is tangy and sweet. The pasta salad (which should just be pasta, right?) is creamy and delish. I'm asking for doubles of pasta salad next time!
Desserts (which were fine but not fantastic) from Kona were:
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5006/5277491213_b189b9eaf6_z.jpg
Pineapple Upside Down Cake
I think the one from Sunshine seasons was better, but the two sauces on this plate were AWESOME!

Full-Sized Family Pizza to Go (cheese) and side salad
Sassagoula Food and Floatworks
Port Orleans French Quarter
The pizza at the food court is markedly better than in the past. It's still not NY or Chicago-worthy, but it is improved. This ended up being a good option for a quiet dinner back at the resort....
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5166/5274378072_ca32fe7ee4_b.jpg
Nachos
Cantina san Angel
Mexico
Epcot
This should have been good. It's a no-brainer! Chips were soggy. "Nacho" cheese was rubbery and tangy (and not in a good way). The veggies were good on top and the sour cream was also excellent. I'd give this another go if I had the taste for Mexican. I think I'd say "no nacho sauce" next time (or at least get it on the side). The taste was off-putting.
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5004/5274478098_432d0bec88_b.jpg
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake
Sci Fi
DHS
The cake was still frozen in the middle. I think desserts are the weak point at most of the restaurants at MK, and that holds especially true at the Studios.
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5244/5275016000_7f2957d6b7_b.jpg

Breakfast Buffet
Trails End
Ft. Wilderness
I'm not big on buffets, but i like this one. First, you can have BREWED sweet tea! Second, there are many choices. Third, no characters :)!! Fourth, it's QUIET there. 'Nuff said!

Fried Italian Chicken with side caesar
Everything Pop Food Court
Pop Century Resort
I agree that Pop Century is the best food court on-site. So many choices! This meal felt almost like a TS in its portion, quality, and flavor. Go for this one!
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5127/5275637648_0a1337b6fc_b.jpg
Caribbean Rib Appetizer
Olivia's
Old Key West Resort
VERY spicy. Ribs were a bit tough. Could see where they were going with the flavor profile, but it didn't quite get there. Mom had this as her main.
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5282/5275032297_1e2946e8e1_b.jpg
Special of the Day--Chicken Fried Chicken with Mash and Gravy
Olivia's
Old Key West
SURPRISE! This was really crispy. Very "downhome" and comfortable. The server suggested it and I was glad I ordered it!
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5162/5275034575_4d9440a5ef_b.jpg
I THINK this was called the Key West Burger--cheese, avocado, and grilled shrimp
Olivia's
Old Key West
Dad liked it, but didn't enjoy the texture of the shrimp with the burger. Mom ate the shrimp.
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5207/5275649790_39c9a4dc5a_b.jpg
Bananas Foster Bread Pudding
Olivia's
Old Key West
One word: YUM. The caramel sauce was the bomb.
http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5130/5275652076_1c8d2e81c3_b.jpg
Key Lime Pie
Olivia's
Old Key West
One of the top two desserts of the week. Creamy, tangy, with a light meringue topping. PRETTY presentation.
That's all for the December 2010 trip. I'll post Sept 2011....well, in October! :fez:

Great photos Tina! You are making me hungry. The breakfast pocket from WPE looks awesome! I showed mom and she said it is a definite go for us in August! She gasped when I read what you said about the cornflake french toast gave tonga toast a run for it's money! haha!
By any chance do you know what time WPE has breakfast until?

OK, Kristin, you'll probably talk about this in your trip report, but how was Bongos? I went there with my ex YEARS ago and we really liked it. Since then, I've heard just awful reports. Did you like it?
And a plain hamburger at Le Chefs? c'mon! ;) How did whomever ate this like it? I had it as the chef intended and I didn't care for it....

I hope to write a trip report. If not it will be a food report. I don't remember day to day, but food and me.....well we have a different kind of relationship. ;)
So I won't make you wait, but I won't give you details.
It was horrible. I couldn't eat it.

Yeah I know! That was my sister. She is very plain. But she will eat any hot sauce out there. She has eaten hot sauce that doesn't make her wince and it makes grown men cry. She liked it. She went back another day and got the same thing, but she didn't go back for the food....
My friends...I have more pictures coming soon! Might not be as many, but there are more! Hopefully tomorrow I will get them on here!

I didn't forget about you guys! I just had to get the studio up and going for the year. I didn't think it would be this hard. I am working the same amount of hours as last year, but it's all the little extras that add up. Not to mention I feel like everything that could go wrong does!
I need a mental break...so here I am!
Nom Nom Nom! Time for more food pics!
