I apologize if this has been discussed before but I am wondering if anyone knows if/when they run out of the electric scooters at DL?
We are hoping to take a friend who needs one to get around but did not plan on going until late in the morning, maybe near noon.
Would we still have a chance of getting one?
Thanks

It really depends on the day. On a weekend or holiday I would say you'd be out of luck. Are you staying in a hotel? If so I would suggest you have a scooter delivered to the hotel from one of the local companies (I've used OC Medical and Deckert's). Or, OC Medical has a location (called Scooter Village) near the park entrance at the Ramada Maingate hotel. Off-site rentals are usually a bit cheaper too!

And dont forget with offsite rentals you can use them to get to/from the hotel, which can be the killer vs. park rental you cant take past bag check

Well we are not staying at a hotel, we live in Oceanside so we drive up. But I like the idea or renting outside the park because I don't think she would make it from the tram to the rental area. Maybe we can call and reserve one at the place by the Ramada and I could drop them off and they can meet me at the park.
Thanks for the information!

Has anyone used the electric scooters in the rain? Anything special I should be aware of? I will probably use a poncho if it rains, as we are going in early February.

your right on trak, get some dollar store ponchos and couple hefty garbage sacks (one for the seat and one for your belongings) and your good to go if it rains

Why not look into doing a rental in Oceanside and bring it with you?
