I was there Friday too with a friend in from New York. He has never been.

I was fuming that Space Mtn was closed. Thunder Mtn was closed. Pirates was closed. Half of TSI was closed.

When he asked about the Skyway, Subs, Caroussel of Progress and Peoplemover, I almost threw up.

His reaction to Pooh? "Well, it doesn't have the charm that the classic rides do, but it was cute."

He was asking why they charge $50.00 to get into the park and how he could never afford to bring his family there for a vacation.

I know I know...off topic--but I was THERE Friday and SM merely has a sign saying it is closed "today". Unlike Thunder, which says it is closed while they engineer attraction improvements. (What's up with THAT?)

I'm starting to NOT believe that they closed SM because they needed to get going on construction. They haven't done anything in amonth! There must have been another reason. What is it? They need to bring Tomorrowland alive again, that used to be the hippest most youth-oriented land, now it has autopia, star tours and hista.
