I liked the episode in general, but I hated the girls' song! There just wasn't enough of "Start me up" to me. It just seemed awkward, like it didn't fit.

I LOVE the all boys school. They were great, and I loved the look of awe and wonder on Kurt's when he was watching them.

Did anyone else feel the "homophobe is actually gay" thing was a little too "American Beauty"? Now I'm just afraid things are going to get worse.

Historically, hasn't it been the two football players together that were harassing him? Was it normal for it to be just the one (I'm sure having both be closet cases would have been too much)?

I liked this week's episode, as well as, the episode about Grilled Cheesus. Of every episode in this season, these two are my favorite. I can't think of a character I DON'T like! Even Sue has her good side; I really like Coach Biest and of course Brittany always has something great to say. There's so many great voices too. I think my favorites are Kurt, Mercedes, Puck, and Artie.

One friend said the plot twist took him completely by surprise, and I said that I thought the writers had telegraphed that development by only having the one player harassing Kurt at the start of the episode.

If you're going to do Singin' in the Rain twice in one episode the second one you end with shouldn't be the really awful one.

I liked the ending song. :) Only part seemed mashed up together.

I totally agree! I thought the "Make Em Laugh" part was OK, but wow, was that ending HORRENDOUS! I LOVE Singin in the Rain, and I HATE that Umbrella song, so I was just imagining Gene Kelley turning in his grave!

I have only recently started watching the show, and I've had mixed feelings about it, but after last night, I think I might not continue.

Anyone else think we will see Lea Michelle in Chicago now when Glee goes on hiatus for the off-season?

I liked last night's episode actually, though I thought both songs from 'Singin' were a little off. The Make Em Laugh number was wearing a little thin by the end and I actually felt as out of breath as the actors.

The C-Lo song did rock though I thought.

However, I liked this episode because it got back to some of the things Glee is great at, mainly its story. I want them to keep developing the stories to keep us interested rather than just throwing music at us for the sake of it (IMO). The monologue about how high school students are very focused on very little and what they think is important is not really what the rest of us necessarily think is important was very telling and the way they played off that with the plot piece with Mercedes and the tots was very funny.

The final number did seem a little off, though DW liked the mash-up, but it seemed more like something you'd see on the Stars of Dance section of Dancing with the Stars.

Still rockin' with this show though :) Total Gleek.

Cool Runnings!

I need to state for the record that, on average, I tear up more in one Glee episode than an entire year of real life. Loved Carol Burnett and Jane Lynch performing.

Enjoyed the rest, too, but I just don't see Carol Burnett often enough.

We were wondering when Mike joined the football team. Don't remember that happening.

I don't remember Mike joining the team, either. Maybe they recruited his abs to compete with Sam in the locker room.

Loved the wedding aisle routine, so much fun. Found it funny that Shue said "lets get ready for sectionals" and then the teaser for next week IS sectionals. Better hurry up, huh?

I believe he was one of the original football players "recruited" to up the group's numbers in season one.

Ah, that could be. I'd forgotten that. Good call.

I've only been watching the gosh-darn show for a few weeks and I made Doc get a box of tissues for me. I couldn't HANDLE it.

LOVED the episode. Just loved it. Loved Carol Burnett. Loved the wedding. I want to get married again and I want Kurt to plan it for me. Loved Furt. Loved the locker room scenes. Loved the meeting in Sue's office. (Hated the end but I just know he'll come back. I KNOW it. I mean, I did think the sentiment was lovely and all that but I don't want him to gooooo. And I don't like that the school didn't support the no-tolerance policy so that he had to go.)

I loved how they used a current pop song in a different context, and how the kids showed such kindness and caring. If only every gay kid struggling in high school had that kind of acceptance and support. I think the plot is going to turn to the bully, and his own struggles, and he will find himself needing that same kind of support.

I can't believe I hadn't found this thread earlier! I'm a huge Glee fan.

I've loved this season more than last. I think they continue with the inconsistent characterization, but I'm loving a lot of the music and the Kurt storyline. I look forward to Blaine appearances every week. (I got to meet Darren a couple weeks ago! Such a nice guy!) Sectionals was kind of underwhelming, but I can't wait for next week's Christmas episode. Kurt and Blaine's duet of "Baby, It's Cold Outside" is about as adorable as it gets.

I was kinda bored by last night's episode. Really liked the ending song though. Thought the whole drama with Rachel and Finn was just goofy. I also did not like how Kurt was told not to try to hard for a solo because they are a team. Um.. you asked him to audition for a solo! Come on really? What was he supposed to do? Would have been good to see the other two boys solos as well. Wasn't there sectionals in April or May when Quinn had her baby? Just how fast does Glee time go? Or was that Nationals?

This one was just not a favorite episode for me.

That was either regionals or nationals, I forget what they call it. At sectionals last year, that was when one of the other teams stole all the songs/routines that New Directions was going to do, like "Proud Mary" in wheelchairs. Finn had just found out about Puck and Quinn, so he wasn't going to go, but Will gave him a pep talk (Will had to absent himself and quit because of the mattress commercial problem, so the kids could still compete, which is why Emma went with them instead), and Finn ended up going and bringing a song with him that they could do - it might have been the Rolling Stone's "You Can't Always Get What You Want". I can't remember if that's where they used that song.

I actually loved this week's episode, my favorite of this season so far. I loved that they showcased the people we don't normally see/hear from. Kurt and Rachel doing "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" was fabulous, though like the song from "Wicked" that they shared last year, I want the full version of Kurt/Chris Colfer singing. I was excited that they used Mike and the Mechanics' "The Living Years", though I wish it had been done for real, but oh well. And I loved, LOVED Sam and Quinn doing "Time of My Life". It was very reminiscent of Finn and Rachel from last year, but Sam and Quinn are really so sweet together. And Quinn doesn't get to sing much but she's got a beautiful voice. And Santana totally rocked her song, and Brittany and Mike were awesome with their dancing. And I like what they're doing with Brittany and Artie - so sweet as well.

I rarely enjoy any Finn/Rachel plotlines. I just don't find their relationship troubles interesting, but that's just me. I'm sure the Twilight-type crowd eats that stuff up.

I think the Warblers stuff was pretty ridiculous too, but it seems like they're trying to show that Dalton isn't the utopia Kurt thought it was. I'm sure he'll be back at McKinley by the end of the season, and he'll probably bring Blaine with him. How else could he become a regular for the third season?

Quinn had her baby at regionals, which was the season finale last spring. Sectionals, regionals, nationals is the order. Since they lost regionals last year, they didn't move on to nationals. This "year" the nationals are in New York and I'm almost willing to bet they make it this time around (since they bothered to bring up the location on the season premiere), even though that means beating out the Warblers and Vocal Adrenaline at regionals. Realistic? Probably not. But I don't pretend there's anything truly real about this show. It's the un-realism that makes it fun.

And cstephens: both Kurt and Rachel's versions of "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" can be found on YouTube. :)

I'm still annoyed that there are apparently only three teams at any given competition.

I like how Finn was all like "I didn't know you were mean!" Apparently he watches a different show than we do.

And as with regionals last year I prefered the other two performances over the New Directions.
