I think my favorite part was watching all of your faces light up when we said you had the correct answer for the Most Evil Paragraph. It looked like a huge weight had been lifted off of your shoulders! :)

Sheila and I also got a kick out of those of you who got it right after hitting yourselves on the forehead -- or other teammates -- when you were told $9 wasn't the answer and to read the sentence again. :D

Thanks also to the CMs at the Trading Post for being so helpful!;)

Well our team went to Bazaar to get a recipe for bingo. Turns out we HAVE to buy something in order to get a recipe that say Bazaar on it. So stitch bought whatever was there, and once we got the recipe we were off....

... we found out that we left without the merchandise half way through the day, about 2 hours later :(

And Stitch... next time... remember that is is NOT necessary, nor part of the rule, to YELL THE ANSWER OUTLOUD when we figured out the answer ;)

Well, that was a tense moment for us. It was either get the right answer or knock GD to the ground and steal his answer sheet, not to mention the ice cream bet that was riding on the Trading Post being the right location! So, yeah, we were glad to get it right at last. ;)

The Mouse.com came in 2 minutes after the Gauchos in Fantasyland.

My teammate (and best friend) Deanna had the original design idea and then I Photoshopped the final logo. I could not stop laughing when she showed me her idea - I was totally joking when I came up with the name but when she actually made the logo we just had to go for it.

The key was you started at Chip N Dale (I hope I am remembering this right)... the 1st question asked a yes/no about Donald and Minnie I think... the answer was yes and you moved 3 statues clockwise. The next was a yes also I think so you went 1 more clockwise, the last was no and you went 1 counterclockwise (I hope I remember this right as I barely saw the paperwork :)). Basically, you ended on Pinocchio and so you answered the question of how many of that character were found in the "bubbles" by the arcade. :)

Sure seems easy once it was done. Luckily the "playing" clue in the question helped us to the right window.

OMG!

So your saying we got that wrong, AND right!!

We ended up on Donald somehow. So, we went inside of Star Traders (Mickey has a bubble Astronaut hat on above the entrance) and around the edges near the ceiling there are characters there, Huedy, Duey, Louie, Donald, and I think a couple others. So we saw Donald and marked 1 on our answer sheet. :D

:D :D :D

What an awesome day! Team "Those Guys" all agree that this was the best competition so far. I wish we had stayed to check out our score sheets, esp. now that I know the POTC was the joker of the bunch. That really hurt our score. Otherwise, we did really well, despite the fact that we didn't receive the trivia/bingo/Eye Spy packet until we got to the second station.

When we went to lunch after, one of my teammates pulled out her wallet and inside was an Indy FP. At least it wouldn't have counted since we had already turned in Pirates. Nuts!

We still managed to do the scavenger hunt, a couple of EyeSpys (but didn't go looking for any), and we found Lani and took her quiz. The trivia was really hard this time, and that is usually my job in the team. I didn't even attempt it this time.

Congratulations to everyone for a great game!

If there is on thing I learned from this game, its DO NOT TRUST CM'S!!!!!! From saying "Oh, no, we don't carry Pinnochio" in the Star Trader to "The answer is that there is not a broom" in NOS, I have learned that can be....um.....unreliable at times  :D

But MA is just points driven, while MS is time driven. There need to be the ultimate, most evil of all MA, where you get as many points as you in the shortest amount of time...

You cant necessary trust the CMs though. Remember, they WORK there, they don't LIVE there.

lol. I don't remember which team it was, but they got the NOS mime CM to go around and point out all the items on the balcony. He seems to know where things are, too :)

Well this Fez-boy certainly had a lot of fun yesterday - but man am I exhausted today.

Even before the event we had a sign that the day would go well - as a who guest sat with us on the tram was so delighted by our costumes that she gave us sushi - I doubt many other MP teams can claim that prize

The scramble was a lot of fun - I think the staff hit a perfect balance with this edition what with quests, trivia, eye-spys, Find Lani, and Fast Pass Gamble - there were lots of options a team could take, and all of them were fun.

We had fun after the event as well getting our picture in an Autopia Car (http://www.linkline.com/personal/cemeinke/img/IMG_2826.JPG).

And later going to Aladdin's Oasis to visit our Patron Characters for the event, Aladdin (http://www.linkline.com/personal/cemeinke/img/IMG_2828.JPG) and Jasmine (http://www.linkline.com/personal/cemeinke/img/IMG_2830.JPG) who seemed to get a kick out of our costumes.

Alas the only downside of the day was that our traditional 4th team mate, Not Afraid, couldn't compete with us this time around - though she was able to join us for our post-event fun.

I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid. Team Staff would be run out of town on rails! Actually, in case of ties, the amount of time spent by each team is taken into consideration.

My apologies to lisap -- sorry to bring up such painful memories, girlfriend. :D ;)

My friend thought you were a CM for Aladdin at DCA :D

I then said, "No, because that looks like cemeinke from MP"

My friend replied "Sure.......whatever......." :D

Good!

No, honestly. We ecourage teams to complete the game without asking CMs for assistance. We try very hard to write quests that won't require you to ask a CM for assistance.

MouseAdventure is supposed to be a fun event, and not detract from the experience for other visitors. When you have 10 teams standing in City Hall, demanding answers to some insanely random bit of cast member trivia, that impacts other guests.

Now, we say this at every event, and yet some teams still decide to ask CMs for assistance. In order to... discourage... this behavior, we have been known to warn CMs that MouseAdventure teams will be in their store / area. And we know that some area managers tell their staff about the game. So you never know - the CM you are asking for help may just know about the game, and may just give you the wrong answer on purpose.

(Anyone remember trying to count the teeth on Monstro a few games ago....?)

There was an extremely cute CM in the store in Adventureland who didn't tell us outright where one of the EyeSpys was, but did let us know that we were very close and treated us with an adorable smile when we found it. The man in the Timepieces store confirmed that two clocks had the words on them, even though we didn't ask, and when we asked a couple others for help (and only when the CMs were just standing there without any customers or anything - we were very concious of that) they were very sweet to us even though they didn't know the answers.

I also enjoyed how many guests asked us what we were doing and how nice they were about it. They all seemed to understand we were in a hurry and would walk along with us to ask questions. The best was when we were in City Hall grabbing a German map. While my teammate was getting it, a man walked in, asked me how to sign up to participate in the MadScramble, thanked me for the info and walked out. Apparently he had gone to City Hall for the express purpose of finding out about it! I was glad I was there to field his questions.
