Will Prince Charming and Fairygodmother be visiting us at the royal table during a 2pm lunch?

When we went at Christmas time the Fairy Godmother greeted us as we entered the Castle. Prince Charming, unfortunately, did not make an appearance. I am not sure if he ever does.

Good Luck samiamtink!

It used to be Princesses at breakfast and lunch and the Fairy Godmother for dinner but I think I read it's princesses at all the meals now. We didn't see Prince Charming at breakfast. He's definately at dinner though at the 1900 Park Fare. We were hoping for Mary Poppins at breakfast but she was a no show.

Do the character's show up at lunch? When we were there for lunch we didn't get to see any character's. The next time we went it was for breakfast and it
was so crowded the princesses were really quite rushed and the tables so close together that it was hard not to share your experience with the group(s)
next to you.

Is dinner less busy? Can you book a dinner and view the fireworks?

When were you there for lunch. Having all the meals involve characters of some sort is a recent (I want to say within the last 5 years) development.

Dinner may be less busy, but I don't think you can see out the windows adequately to view the fireworks.

I ate there for dinner during free dining in 2006.

Cinderella greeted us downstairs and we took our picture with her and then sat and waited for our table.

We were brought upstairs and about 30 minutes into sitting there the Fairy Godmother came out and talked and talked and talked. The mice were running around as well.

The Fair Godmother didn't really stop for pictures because she was constantly talking. I think maybe one table got a picture with her because she happened to be talking with a little girl and the dad snapped a picture.

Prince Charming was not there.

I am thinking it was 2001 for lunch (yes, many years ago) and 2005 for
breakfast. We didn't go to the Castle in 2008 or 2009 for meals because of
our prior experiences.

Anyone know the possibility of getting a "walk up" table reservation? I've been trying for months to get into CRT on my daughter's birthday with no luck. Vacation is quickly approaching and I'm hoping this might be a possibility. Please advise!

Highly unlikely. Did you try for an AR at 1900 Park Fair (Grand Floridian) or the princess meal at Epcot (in Norway)?

What is the cancellation policy for Cinderella's Royal Table? Is it like Askersus where you cancel within 2 days without penalty? If so, seems like I could try during this window...

The problem with your plan is that there are literally hundreds of others who are also trying for last minute reservations. The chance of you getting one at this most popular dining event is pretty slim, unless you do it first thing at your 180 day window. Sorry.

I would still keep trying for CRT. I have also found that when I am in Florida that some reservations open the day before or day of when you call Disney Dining and indicate you are there now--it doesn't hurt (other than a phone call and some time) to keep trying.

When we were there for lunch in January 2008 we were visited by Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Jasmine. They were all good in their roles, but Snow White was perfectly amazing in looks and personality and voice. It doesn't hurt to keep calling and checking on-line in case something opens up. I would also say that it is your daughter's birthday and beg for any time available, not just a specific meal or time.

Where to start on this question..I have a fourteen year old diser dd who would enjoy seeing the characters here. I do believe my 4 year old ds would not mind either but food wise...how is it? And what happens when you do this meal that is so special?

The food is OK-we've had both breakfast and lunch there, and I liked the lunch menu better. It's really all about the princesses, and the program is more geared to your 4 year old. That said, several years ago, I took my nieces, and the oldest one, who was a teenager at the time, loved the princess meals I had booked for the younger kids. All the princesses will come to your table and there's enough time for autographs and pictures. Each girl gets a wand (boys get swords), and they do a little "thing" at the end. It's fun, and something you want to do once-although we've done it several times.

For my daughters (3 and 8 on our last visit), a big part of the magic is being inside the castle. They also love the one-on-one time with the princesses. I read somewhere once that the CRT character meal has the best ratio of guests to characters, but we've never done any of the other character meals, so I'm not sure if this is true. We've stayed in the Contemporary so have seen and heard some of the Chef Mickey character breakfast. The CRT breakfast is much more calm, quiet, and relaxing, in my opinion. I'm not a morning person, so it is more my speed.

The breakfast food is very good, but not for the price. You're definitely paying for the experience. Despite the expense, it has become a family tradition and we go every time we are in the World. It is worth it to us because we don't like to wait in line to meet characters. Also, we usually eat cereal in the room for breakfast, so this is our one nice vacation breakfast.

And despite what you may have heard, it is possible to score a table without an ADR, especially during value seasons. Our previous 2 visits were walk-ins (our trips were last-minute, so we weren't able to get ADRs).

We have been twice in the last 3 years, both times we had dinner. The food was good but it really is more about the wow factor of eating in the castle.

It depends on what you're expecting, I guess. My boyfriend and I went last time we went to WDW. It was very disappointing as an adult couple looking for a romantic meal inside the castle. I could see the magic experience for the children, but as an adult couple, the only worthwhile experience was bragging rights of eating inside the castle. The food was OK, some of it was definitely more than OK. But once again, a huge price tag comes with it. Also, the Fairy Godmother character was singing and trying to get everyone to clap and join in. It seemed to go on for a bit too long. The restaurant itself is quite small and with a focus on the 4-year old princesses, the romantic meal I had fantasized about just wasn't there.

If you are on the dining plan, I definitely would recommend paying out of pocket for this meal; especially for a breakfast. It is 2 table service credit and IMO, not worth it. You can get a much better value on your table service credits elsewhere.

Also in my opinion, and because Belle is my favorite, :p, I think Akerhaus is a good value.

I've had dinner there 3 times and the food was good but nothing special. Everyone should eat in the castle at least once in their Disney career!

the coolest experience we've had at CRT was a few years back when Peter Pan ran past the window to the dining room followed closely by Capt Hook. a few minutes later, Peter Pan was waving to the quests inside from the window and then Capt hook was Shaking his fist.

has only happened once and we've never seen Prince Charming...
