Pre-trip
So we came to Disneyland on our older daughters 5th b-day so we knew we had to come back for the younger’s 5th b-day. We had been planning on going the last week of April and use Priceline to get the Crowne Plaza for $40 a night, but my wife really wanted to stay at the Disneyland Hotel again, so I said if she can get it around $200. Well the week of DD4 birthday the rooms were like $350, we even got an email to get cheap rooms for “volunteering” but they had no rooms at that rate available, so we did some more research and found if went a week earlier we could take part a special rate, so we decided to move our trip up one week and tell DD4 her birthday was then (she won’t remember her birthday is actually the next week.)
We are excited to be going. Last year I won 2 night stay at the Hilton Waterfront Resort at Huntington Beach so we will be staying there the first part of the week and enjoying a full day at the beach (which my kids have never done). Then we will spend 2 days in the park. The last four trips we have gone with other people and so we think with 2 days we should be able to get everything done because no one will be slowing us down. We will be eating at the new Mickey themed Surf’s Up. DD4 loves Daisy Duck and we have never seen her in the park, we are hoping she will be at the breakfast. Also I hope we can get a room upgrade. Last time we got a free upgrade to a Mickey Mouse themed room. I guess we shall see.
