I'm planning on taking a Disney Cruise later this year and need to know what the difference is between a stateroom with a veranda and one with a "navigator's veranda (other than the price). The on-line pop-up guides seem to show that they look identical, but that the "navigator's veranda" staterooms are located towards the rear of the ship (aft).

Any idea what's the difference between the two?

The aft verandahs (navigator) are metal ... the others are open rails covered by plexiglass.

The navigator's verandahs are almost enclosed and the view is often slightly blocked. The navigator's verandahs have navigational equipment on them, but that equipment makes the balconies a bit smaller and give them a tight feel. If you are looking for the traditional cruise balcony, I would go with the Category 6 verandah - you'll get a full view of the ocean during the cruise.
