Has anyone here been to both Soak City in Anaheim and Blizzard Beach at WDW? If so, how would you compare them?

Any comments on Soak City would be appreciated. I read in another post that Knotts is about 15 min. from DL, is the waterpark right there as well?

Soak City is not affilitated with Disneyland at all.

It is in Buena Park, in the same big block as Knott's. If
you turn into the lane of Knott's {I forget the name} you have
the choice to go to the parking lot for either, or sometimes it is the same parking for both.

I think Disneyland/Knott's are about 6-8 miles apart but it is the traffic that can take a long time. Sometimes we take the back roads. {mapquest offers both ways, right?}

Here a link that will hopefully answer any questions you might have. If not, feel free to ask!

This comparison would be the water park equivalent of the comparison between a Disney theme park and a traditional amusement park. Soak City is a fairly decent water park, but almost completely unthemed. It was carved out of a portion of Knotts' parking lot and it pretty much looks and feels like it.

It has several water slides and a pretty decent wave pool and lazy river. It is a fairly small park, but the slides that they have aren't bad.

Thanks for your replies. I think that we'll look for something else to do on our free day.

While it may not compare to WDW it is a lot of fun for the kids. My kids enjoyed it. I think there isn't enough shade but then again I don't care to sit in the sun. {I know, stay away from the water parks then, right? :p }

But, if the kids do decide they want to go, check for discount tickets. Maybe when you are out here? And, right next to it is
the replica of Independance Hall, not a big thrill but it was neat, and free {if memory serves me right}. Also close by is the Wax Museum as well as Ripley's Believe it or Not. And, on the very same street, amazing as that is, is Medeival Times as well as the Will Bill Show {probably not calling that by its right name}.

So, a day can be filled there. Kids love the water park, but, mine wouldn't know any better.

Don't forget the museums in Downtown L.A. Beautiful Natural History Museum and Titanica is being shown at their Science Center. http://www.casciencectr.org/MainPage.html

What ever you do have a lot of fun. Even if that day is just taken to lounge around the hotel and swim and explore the hotel {yeah, depending on what hotel.........}
