August 2010 on-property discounts

Does anyone have an idea what has been offered as far as resort discounts for hotels in the past in the late August timeframe? We are planning to arrive 8/24 for about 6 nights and are debating between Swan/Dolphin and a moderate. If there were a 3/5 or dining plan discount at that time, it would make the decision for us. We can always book now and have the discount added later when it is announced, but want to start at the right hotel.

For the past 2 or 3 years they've offered free dining during that time period.

Chances are free dining will be then. If you have a family there really is no better discount with Disney in my opinion.

Swan/Dolphin you cannot get the Free Dining. With that no real discounts that WDW offers extends to the Swan/Dolphin.

You can get discounts through the Swan/Dolphin, but they aren't the same as WDW. You have to check their website for their offers.

At the Swan/Dolphin you do get free transportation, free parking at the theme parks (if you have a car), and package delivery to your hotel.

You do not get charging privleges on property. You can only charge to your room what you purchase at the hotel.

There is a $10 resort free but that does include high-speed internet access (which costs $10 per day at WDW resorts), two bottles of water, and a few other things.

If you do have a car you do have to pay for parking. You do not have to pay at WDW resorts.

The Swan/Dolphin is a great resort and the location is great. If you do have a car and do not need high speed internet it does add about $20 per day to your stay.
