When you make priority seatings or reservations, or at any other opportunity you get, make sure to tell the Cast Members that you are on your honeymoon. Often they will go out of their way to make things extra special. Congratulations. :)

That is a really good idea. Thanx! I did that for my hotel but I didn't think about doing it elsewhere. Does any where know where the infamous tonga toast is served?
Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. I seem to remember there is something similar at Boma, at Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Don't forget to get the bride and groom mickey ears, and wear them while you are there. :)
I hope you have a lovely time. :)

ahh yes the honeymoon trip.
we did that 18 year ago. at that time the only disney resots were the contempo and poly. and Disney didn't offeer any kind of package deal so we stayed at what was then called the Buena Vista Palace right across from what is now called downttown disney.
make sure you take your time. especially if this is your first trip. don't try do do everything all you will get is tired and sore.
while the bfasts in all the restaurants are generally good, take a morning or two and order bfast in bed. this is a Honeymoon suggestion, not a WDW suggestion.
have a romantic candle lite honeymoon dinner at one of the more romantic places in Epcot. San Angel Inn comes to mind as does chefs de France.
dinner in Cinderella's is really nice, however if you are on a budget you can eat lunch there cheaper.
if budget isn't a problem take the illuminations cruise from the yacht club.
since you are staying at AK lodge I would also consider one of the sunrise trips to AK they offer. I have never done this, but it gets great reviews.
finally tell every waiter as well as the front desk of your hotel that you are on your honeymoon. they will treat you right.
fiannly have fun:D

Congrats and best wishes. My advice, go to a bookstore and invest in one of the WDW Adult books. They provide good information and plenty of romantic ideas. Like the advice provided before mine, don't attempt to do everything. Pick a few must do things within the parks and leave plenty of time to rest, relax and throw in spontaneous things and you will have all the magical moments you can remember.

Thanks for all the advice! I am going to call AKL about the sunrise trips. I know though thst even though I shouldn't try to squish it all in that Reuben and I will try because we are squishers.

Ak Lodge is a great choice we were just there and it is great. My advice is to take advantage of early entry days.
We found that we could do most of the attractions we wanted by noon or 1 p.m. using early entry. This was especially true of AK where we found we had done everything we really wanted to do in about 4 hours.
Using early entry allowed us to take some time to relax and do some other things in the afternoon before returning to the parks if we wanted to at night.
We found ourselves returning to World Showcase a lot at night, since it was open later than the other parks. Try the Rose and Crown.
We found it best to make our priority seatings the day of at the park or the night before. We liked this better because it allowed us to relax and go with the flow instead of having rigid plans of times we had to be at places.
Have fun.

How wonderful! As I'm a Disney Nut, my husband surprised me on our wedding with an additional week of honeymoon in WDW after a week in Aruba!
Yes, tell everyone you're newly weds! Get those ears!!! I wish we did........I'm not sure they had them then??? (8 yrs ago)
We stayed at our old favorite Port Orleans, but recently stayed at AKL so I could run the Disney marathon. Now I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Pricey....but worth it!!!
This trip, for my husbands sake, I gave up a few park firework shows so he could enjoy Downtown Disney. Dinners at Planet Hollywood, Bongo's and Wolfgang Puck were great! Circus Du Soleil was unreal too!
Why not check out the spa at AKL (great massages). And definately dinner at Boma's. Be sure to have a breakfast in your room and watch the animals from your balcony!
Make a wish in the fountain behind Cinderella's castel! It will be an incredible honeymoon. Be sure to send us a report!

Make sure to have one really special dinner. My recommendation is Victoria & Albert's at the Grand Floridian. It's pricey but worth every penny.
If you want another suggestion (or can't get into V&A's because it books up so early), I highly recommend getting a Chef du Cuisine meal at the Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe Dining Room at Downtown Disney. Tell Mark, the Dining Room manager, that I (Rick, the blonde guy from Monterey) told you to go there and he will make sure your special meal is even more wonderful. And after a fabulous meal you can just wander over to Pleasure Island and dance the night away!

My wedding is only 6 days away and WDW is only 7 days away!! YIIIIIPPPPEEE! Seriously thhough, we are soo excited as we have never been to WDW. ( Well, I went when I was 4 but I only remember the Small World Ride and my Disney $$$'s so I don't think that it rewally counts) and he has never been to FL. even so this is quite an adventure for both of us. Our only problem ow is that my 3 children from my previous marraige want to go too:D :D !! My four yearold son has trained his 1 and 2 yr old sisters to say me mickey tooo mama. So we promised him that before his 5th bday (Feb 3) we will take all of them tp WDW. BOY is this wedding costing us!!!! Two trips to WDW in a year!!!LOL!!
