For those who have gone on a Disney Cruise vacation, What is your favorite part of the cruise?

For those who haven't gone yet, What are you most looking forward to when you do get to go on a Disney Cruise?

As for me, my favorite part was being able to get away from it all. It was very relaxing being in the Atlantic ocean away from all of my concerns back home. I also loved all the food on board.

Cell phone coverage - or the lack thereof. :D

Disney's private island...Castaway Cay.:D

I wish we could have spent two days there, instead of just one. I enjoyed the relaxing day...enjoying the water and the sand. The BBQ was very good also.

When we went...the pop singing group 98 degrees was there filming/performing for a Disney special for ABC...so we go to be up close and personal with them while they performed...and ran around the ship being filmed. That cut some of our time laying around on the beach (but hey...you actually can see me in the crowd on the actual tv footage shown!)
(N'Sync was filming/performing for the same show at MGM when we were there...we saw them too).

I also enjoyed their cheesy plays. Call me a Disney nut...But, Disney Dreams had me very teary eyed in the end... :D

What wasn't my favorite :)

I loved Disney Dreams (I, too, cried)....learning to draw Mickey...."When you Wish Upon a Star Horn....that people on other ships were taking pictures of OUR ship....Serenity Bay on Castaway Cay (the most wonderful place onn the planet)...The HUGE portholes....the improv class....the hidden Mickeys...my cabana massage....AND the best, best, best part --- knowing I would be going again :)

But because we got on so early we missed the "family announcement" so when we go back in Jan. 2004 I hope to hear it. (If you haven't gone on the cruise yet, Ii won't give it away but it is really cute)

Hi!

I loved Palo - it was some of the best food I have ever had and the service was great. I am looking forward to having afternoon tea at Palo on my next cruise.

I also loved all of the movies - I am not much of a movie person, but I saw "MY Big Fat Greek Wedding," "Lilo & Stitch," and "Santa Clause 2." It was really nice to have movies that were just fun.

I loved Parrot Cay restaurant because they played Jimmy Buffett music, which I love! I also had Mickey waffles for breakfast every day and I LOVE Mickey waffles.

The disembarkation process was fabulous. I've been on other cruises and have had a difficult, anxious time getting off the ship. Disney seems to have taken a look at the process and tried to work out the complications. I really appreciated having a hot breakfast before I left to fly cross-country to my home in the Rocky Mountain West for the rest of the day - I don't think I slowed down from the moment I stepped off the ship, through Customs, found my luggage, checked in for my flights and climbed on the bus for the airport.

Have a great day!
Julia

I'm with you, Julia, I love Palo's. I also love walking the top deck at night, or any time for that matter. It's great to be surrounded by the Atlantic ocean.

Favorite part?....well let's see.....sitting on the pool deck the first night of the cruise and feeling the warm wind blow on my face, cocktails in the special souvenir glasses, looking at the stars with my husband from our private balcony, telling my son "yes, you can have all of the chicken strips that you want", watching my him come down the waterslide in the pool, playing in the water with the dolphins in Nassau (my favorite souvenir of all is a picture of my son hugging "Stormy" the dolphin in the water)....and my most favorite memory is the look on my son's face when he saw the boat. I guess I just loved everything about it! It's magical!!

This is a very hard question due to the whole cruise being great. Other than the weather my family and I had a great time. The best part though would have to be the whole disney cruise staff. The room cleaning crew did a great job getting our sons bed ready (including putting his stuffed animals to sleep), the wait staff was awesome, after the first night they already knew what we would drink and eat, and when to bring more. There was never a crowd while on the boat, it seemed at times like we were the only ones, and lastly the kids club was great, my son got to play with kids his age while me and my wife checked out a couple of shows, and wandered the top deck in paradise.

I didn't think Palo's was all that. But...it is situated in a wonderful place on the ship.

I loved sitting up on the upper deck late in the evening...and watching the lightening that could be seen down the way. We had warm, beautiful weather our whole cruise...but you could see a storm down out of Nassau. My husband and I sat up there...alone...on the deck chairs, acting like we were lovesick high schoolers. It was very nice, and very romantic. We could see the city's lights...and faintly hear the voices of people having a good time...yet we were all alone.

:)

That was a nice trip...
