being a fan of all rollercoasters, im always find myself going on the newest and latest "hyper" coaster or what have you, saying its the tallest, or fastest, or most number of loops, etc. Recently hearing news of Cedar Points new, "Top Thrill Dragster"...gets my blood pumping..also being a fan of NHRA Drag Racing..its about time the sport has mixed with coaster enthusiasts...but this begins to bring up one question...I remember when 200ft and 70mph were the "best" in the parks...and that was no more than 7 years ago...now we are at 420 feet and 120 mph...and keep in mind, its not a gradual ascent to the top speed mark...like a bullet out of a gun, you will achieve top speed from the get go...but how high is too high? and how fast is too fast? if youre like me and your adrenaline gets goin, then the answer to that question is endless...but speaking in human terms...just how much higher and faster can you go at a theme park before having to take a physical from NASA in order to ride a coaster? im my opinion, we are almost there, i dont think you can go much higher, nor much faster without starting to question, am i physically in good enough shape to ride this ride? so i ask you, How high is too high? and how fast is too fast...will there ever be a ride where you will go, that doesnt look safe?

Actually, you can go as high and as fast as you want to, as long you

A. make sure there is enough oxygen to breath

B. Don't exceed the G-Forces that the lowest common denomenator of a body can with stand, this in some cases requries a height restriciton to ensure that the person's body is big enough to withstand the G-Forces of a particular attraction, of course if we go much higher/faster, we may see some rides that have a minimum/maximum weight requirement on them as well.
