Disney Imagineer David Mumford will be missed. He helped create many attractions at Disney parks around the world, shared his love of Disney at many NFFC meetings, and is the author of many books about The Walt Disney Company and its parks and attractions.
I remember the pleasure of chatting online with David Mumford and his fellow Imagineer Bruce Gordon to talk about Disneyland and their book "Disneyland -- the Nickel Tour: A Postcard Journey Through 40 Years of the Happiest Place On Earth." (I have the transcript of it online at the Disney Echo, and more about David Mumford at http://disneyecho.emuck.com/nickeltour ).
You can also see David and Bruce's official website at www.disneylandthenickeltour.com (http://www.disneylandthenickeltour.com).
There is more news about the passing of David Mumford and his accomplishments written by Jim Hill in his Remembering David Mumford article on his Jim Hill Media website at http://www.jimhillmedia.com/articles/01222003.1.htm.
Our deepest sympathy goes to David's wife Carole, family and friends in their time of loss.

David represented everything that a Disney castmember could ever be. At every event, every conversation, every chance encounter, he was always smiling, enthusiastic and committed to continuing excellence. Thank you David for your wonderful legacy and memories. I hope that when the book David and Bruce have been working on relating to Peter Ellenshaw comes out, that the Park will recognize everything David brought to life at a Gallery signing event. David will always be a part of Disneyland, and what I treasure there.
