My vote is for the Mint Juleps.

I agree. I have a friend who drinks those things by the gallon! He finally talked me into trying one and I just about gagged.

The new Asian food place at California Adventure. I think it's supposed to be Asian food? Slimy tofu, mushy veggies (I think there were three or four large cut veggies in my box) and mushy rice. Yuck!

I agree that White Water Snacks is a good place to eat. Although they have gone down hill a bit since they first opened. Their chicken strips used to be great, now they're just good.

Turkey legs....yuck, too salty.

Salt water taffy is also yucky. It used to be our take home treat. Years ago they did make their own but stopped due to cost. (According to a CM on Main St.) Now all the colors just taste sweet with no real flavor. :crying:

The turkey lets looks so greasy and grisly and where are people putting all those uneatable stringy tendons and gristly bits when they walk around the park with it.... EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

I will be at the parks this week and will NOT be eating much in the parks. Not the Turkey legs, or COLD Mickey Mouse pancakes*sob* or churros or ice cold burgers and fries.....of course....I am mad....

I can't really think of anything that's bad, like on a consistent basis that I stay away from. I've had bad versions of different things but nothing I check off my list.

"I stay away form the Mint Juleps. Just DO NOT LIKE mouthwash that much."

Oh, yeah, ok, just thought of one. I don't like Mint Juleps either.

Apple-filled pretzels -- YUCK. I was expecting tangy apples with cinnamon (you know - yummy apple pie filling), but was sorely mistaken. The pretzel was soggy and unsalted (I happen to like salt with various kinds of fruit) and the apples had no taste. I was jealously eyeing my daughter's Doritos as I forced myself to finish my pretzel.

Crisped Rice Treats -- YUCK. They're like eating thick unflavored rice cakes. It tasted to me like they used unsalted butter (or unsalted margarine - or perhaps just oil) and unsweetened marshmallow. *shudder*

As for the turkey legs ... yes, they're horribly messy -- but I think they taste really good. I got one earlier in the summer, realized I wouldn't be able to do it justice in anything remotely resembling a civilized manner, and wrapped it up (in a large ziploc bag) since we were about to go home anyway. When I got home, I carved all the meat off the bone & put the meat into a tupperware container. I got FIVE meals from that one turkey leg. Granted, a meal for me was pieces of turkey mixed into a bowl of rice -- but it was still five really tasty meals. ;)

I must have missed a post somewhere but, COLD mickey pancakes? We always eat at the River Belle Terrace for breakfast and I have never had a cold pancake, you might want to try it for yourself.

AND BLASPHEMY!!! You must have a churro!! Find a cart that will pop in a fresh one for you, I always ask, and am always obliged:D.

Sadly, I have only ever had a cold pancake there. Sorry but true. McDonald's was better. :(

We'll always have churros!

Yes - it was a soft pretzel. Bland non-pretzel-tasting soft pretzel. Never again. ;)

That is sad and I am sorry!! We always eat there right when the park opens so they are just making everything right then and there.

EVERYONE MUST EAT CHURROS!!
That is unless your allergic to something in them, then you are excused. Or if you just don't like this delicious cinnamon sugar snack.

You might be surprised to learn that Disneyland uses the same brand as Costco: Tio Pepe's (http://www.jjsnackfoodservice.com/). The difference might well be that the Disneyland churros are held in the cart too long and start getting stale.

Interesting. They aren't the same churro though, as Co$tco's churros are double twisted. But, you're probably right about having to sit in the cart ad get stale. For the record, I don't DISLIKE Disneyland churros, I like them very much.

Is this true that they are the same brand? They look completely different. As fairestoneofall said the Costco ones are twisted. They are also quite a bit longer I think. The reason I ask is I am a two a day addict when it comes to Disneyland churros and I hate the ones from Costco. I'm just wondering if I love to be at Disneyland so much that I like something I would otherwise think is gross. It's possible.

But even if they're close to fresh, the wait from when they plate, to get through the 2-3 people at the cash register, and to your table - it's often long enough to have them cool off significantly.

Personally, I like the cinnamon/sugar part, I can so do without the deep fried stuff underneath it. Mom decided she wanted to try one last trip, so we got one, and my sister and I each had a bite. That was enough for the two of us.

The kids' mac and cheese at the French Market tasted like someone had already eaten it.

I once had a chicken sandwich at Taste Pilot's that had the texture and flavor reminiscent of an old shoe. (No, not a new shoe, and old shoe). Even my husband did not like it, and that speaks volumes.

I am beginning to think I am the only person on the planet who has never eaten a churro. Is there something wrong with me?

Before Labor Day, I don't think I'd had one either.

We just got back from our trip and I have to say I was disapointed in a lot of our food.:crying: We ate at the Tomorrowland Terrace (wasnt planned but it was so late other places were closed) I had a cheeseburger, yuck! The BBQ chicken sandwich at Pilots was super gross. We also ate at Carnation Cafe which is my favorite but my Crossant chicken sandwich was really grissely, I only ate half of it. I was bummed because I was really looking forward to it. We ate McDonalds in the room one night and joked how it was the best thing we had eaten so far. We did eat at the mexican food place and enjoyed that (not great mexican but it was yummy). Oh I forgot, we also had a slice of pizza at the pizza port. Also yuck!

:eyeroll:Oh well... I always have my churros!:D

Why is it OK that Disney is churning out assembly line garbage and charging an arm and a leg for it.

I am proud to say I have never supported a single disney resturant. I dont thing convience should come at any cost!

And I'm also quite certian I fed my entire family 3 meals a day plus snacks for less money than one crappy meal at Disney would have cost!

Paying a fortune for something that is truely a cut above, makes sence to me. But time and time again I hear storys here and in real life of people spending in excess of $50 for a crappy meal because it was "convienient" or had good "atmosphere" Well convienience and good atmosphere still should go hand in hand with delicious food and for the prices you are paying it REALLY should!
Do you at least complain?

Besides sitting down in the picnic area and eating a nice lunch with my family really didnt take much time out of my day, I saved a LOT of money, and we ate GOOD FOOD.
Maybe if more people stopped paying a fortune for slop, they would have to re-think serving slop!

I guess it's a matter of opinion. I had someone tell me years ago that I must like slop because I actually expressed a positive opinion about some of the food at the parks. If they feel the need to be insulting, it doesn't really matter to me. If people don't like certain foods, then I would hope no one is force-feeding it to them. And if someone thinks it's disgusting that I'm eating a turkey leg, oh well, too bad for them.

If you've never eaten at a Disney restaurant how can you know what it tastes like?
