The cheese at Ariel's Grotto. One is a round little ball in a watery substance and it looks like an eyeball. The second was a couple triangles of rubbery cheese with no CHEESE taste. I am not suppose to eat cow based cheese so when I eat cow based cheeses I want the cheese to taste like cheese.

Yeah, that was something I hated about Universal on my last trip years ago - so many chain restaurants. I love El Pollo Loco, but I don't want it inside a theme park.
I agree, plus I can't see spending 12.99 on a meal I can get across the street for $6!!! I know there is theme park "inflation" but I'm not spending that much on a McD's happy meal for my kids!!

They have done something to the Clam Chowder bowls in the French Market. Was there on Oct. 24 and so excited to have one and they taste totally bootyriffic. We used to go down on Fridays just to have them and the delicious cobb salad but now the Clam Chowder comes with some yucky salad wether you want it or not. I don't understand why Disney has to mess with perfection. They constantly move things and rearrange things and it makes no sense. They moved all the Jack Skelington stuff back up to the front of NOS instead of in the back store, which is just insane but whatever.

Sounds like fresh mozzarella. I wouldn't say that it has a very 'cheese-y' taste to it normally.

That would be lovely but this was cold tiny balls in a tasteless liquid and looked like eyeballs. All I needed was to add some olive or food coloring and voila instant Halloween snacks. I love tomatos and cheese so your version sounds tasty.

you shouldn't eat other people's food
They kind of get a little cranky about it, and unless you are a fast runner I wouldn't suggest it

Funny, I had others share it with me. A lady was eating apple looking things the size of ping pong balls. I kept staring wondering what they were. She smiled and asked "want to try some?" I thought, 'why not?'
They were pretty good.

No, no.. they were green. They looked like ping pong sized green apples.. had the same texture as biting into and eating an apple. Not much taste to them. She had a big ziplok bag full. I think they had stems kinda like apples too.

Ok. Crab apples (but those would have a taste), baby Pink Lady apples, baby Macintosh (http://lh6.ggpht.com/kevinsmithphd/SOe-s5qTfRI/AAAAAAAAC6c/es06nPwQUHo/DSCF9285_thumb%5B1%5D.jpg) (which is pretty green).
I had a little China varietal apple last week that was quite small and pale but NOT tasteless. In fact, I cant think where you would find a tasteless apple this time of year.
I can see Ill be up all night!

Haha! I remembered!! A jujube!
Jujube (http://creativehousefl.com/tropicalfruitnursery/images/2008/jujube.jpg)
Having the texture and flavor of an apple the jujube are often referred to as manzana or manzanita meaning apple or little apple. It is an important commercial fruit crop in Thailand, Vietnam, and India, and it is grown on smaller scales throughout Malaysia and Australia. The trees are bush-like with a weeping habit, and they will bear fruit at just two to three years of age. Jujubes are known to be extremely prolific producers.
And they are OK to eat at Disneyland! :D

Yeah, and supposedly they put you in a bit of a happy state; they are used during child delivery in some countries, to help induce, to calm, and to reenergize after the birth. Did you feel dreamy afterwards or unusually energetic? :)
All the ones currently for sale in my markets though, are mottled with brown, like this (http://www.cricketbread.com/images/jujube.jpg).
Maybe hers were homegrown.
P.S. If you recall those oblong fruit as apple-shaped, I think you might have eaten too many jujubes!!! ;)

The salt water taffy from the candy store on Main Street. I popped one in my mouth, and it was as hard as a rock.
Oh, don't try to nibble on the big candy corn outside DCA. I thought they were free samples, but the Castmembers didn't agree with me. What's that old saying, "There are no free handouts".... ;)

Frankly I don't care for the Monte Cristo Sandwich at BB. Seemed to me like lots of greesey pastry surrounded by cheapo lunch meat. I picked it apart and once I fished out the lunchmeat that's all that was left.

This thread has been very entertaining to me since it started. One person says that a certain food is the most disgusting thing they have ever tried, and another person says that the exact same food is their favorite thing to eat in the park! I'll bet this applies to every single food item available. ;)

I'd have to say that the monte cristo sandwich at the BB is somewhat inconsistent. I've had 'em hot and fresh and really tasty, and I've had 'em cool and doughy and greasy.

Yep, I see that as a trend here too. Fascinating isn't it? :D
