Q about DLH/upgrades/Dream Tower

We are going to DLR from Aug 30-Sept 4, and we booked a package through Costco (which I believe still books through Disney travel) and reserved a standard view room. What are the chances of getting an upgrade to the Dream Tower (or do they have standard view rooms in the Dream Tower)? Is this something I should request now, or when I check in? If they offer it for a cost, how much would I expect to pay extra? Are the basic rooms in the Dream Tower any different from the standard view rooms in the other towers (other than the view, of course!)

I believe all three towers have standard rooms available. A week or so before and then three days before you arrive I would call the hotel and ask to leave a message for the room booking agent.

Just an FYI....the DLR hotels are pretty booked for the Half Marathon on Labor Day weekend. I had a heck of a time getting my ressies altered last week. We check in Fri 9/4 and out on Mon 9/7. You might want to call now if you REALLY want to change room types.

You probably won't check out as early as I check in....;););)
I'm going to try and get there just after breakfast and preregister then take the boys into the park. DH won't be there til after lunch, which should be right about NAP time for the boys!!
