I'm not good with numbers, but I'm having a hard time believing this Reuters release:
==================================================
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Walt Disney Co. and Hong Kong officials broke ground
on Hong Kong Disneyland. The first venture in China by the No. 1 theme park
company is expected to open its doors to the public in early 2006.
Disney Chief Executive Michael Eisner and Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung
Chee-hwa led the groundbreaking for the $1.8 billion park on Sunday on Lantau
Island, which is also the base of the new Hong Kong international airport, the
Burbank, California-based company said in a statement.
The Chinese home of Mickey Mouse, Sleeping Beauty and other Disney characters
will include two hotels as well as the theme park, which is designed to
accommodate 5.6 million visitors on opening day.
==================================================
Accommodate 5.6 million visitors on opening day? I was under the impression that Disneyland's capacity was under 100,000. How can one brand new park in Hong Kong possibly hold 5.6 million people? Of course, I could be missing something obvious. I don't mind being made aware of such a goof. :D
