Hi!

We're planning to head back to Tokyo in March 2010, and I was wondering...are there any Disney Outlet type stores in Tokyo?

I know where all the Disney Stores are, but I'm curious about Outlets. Or maybe even second-hand collectible-type stores...maybe in Aki?

Also, I know official pin trading has been banned around the Resort, but does anyone know if there are meetings in the city, or gatherings of any sort for Pin Trading? I won't bother hauling my pins if there's no chance of trading at all. :)

Thanks for any and all help!

I never noticed any Disney outlet stores during our July visit, not that we were looking for any.

If you get the chance to explore Tokyo, I recommend visiting the Disney Store in Ginza. While the merchandise is not dramatically different from what you would find in the parks or in any other Japanese Disney Store (including Iksperia mall at the resort), it is a special place. The Ginza Disney Store has a front entrance that looks like Cinderlla's castle, plus the various rooms inside are designed around themes like the nursery from Peter Pan, Minnies house, or Andy's Room (from Toy Story).

Disney merchandise, including pins, is available in virtually every souvenir shop throughout Japan. Stitch, Mickey and Minnie are everywhere! (We bought an official Stitch doll at a temple gift shop in Nara, home of the largest Buddah in Japan.)
