Stayed in Rooms 1414 and 1412 with amazing views of the Paradise Pier section at DCA. On June 23rd housekeeping didn't clean one of the rooms even though we were gone all day. The room they did clean had the doorhanger out requesting housekeeping. I guess they figured that since both didn't have it out, the other one didn't want service.
The staff was pleasant as always. We had concierge level and the offerings were nice. It just seems weird to have the club room on the 2nd floor with no windows at all.
The big downside was on June 24 at 11:30 p.m. when the kids were finally asleep. A huge jackhammer noise rocked the room. Construction trucks backing up with beeping were very loud, too. The noise (we think from across the street at Grand California Villas) was really disturbing for more than 1 hour. I knew there was construction at that hotel and ongoing work on World of Color, I just never expected it that loud and that late.
