And for what it's worth... I have seen it come from both Sunshine Plaza AND Orange Stinger as well over the past several years- you're ALL right! :-)

The parade started almost 20 minutes late last night if you can believe that? when the made the announcement it started with "due to circumstances beyond our control the ELP has been...." I though it was canceled for sure, but only delayed....
Talk about a group sigh, when they made that announcement it felt like we could feel the rush of air as people all sighed/grimaced at once.
We were just to the left of the JJ toward the parade doors also that night. Did you see after they made that announcement the glow vendors start doing an impromptu performance with Mickey swords? I thought that was very cute and it kept the kids entertained while the parade was delayed.

It must alternate because the video that was posted last weekend shows it starting at the gate near the Sunshine Plaza and everyone is saying it starts back by Orange Zinger. Maybe just ask a cast member the day you're there to double check?

It should say right on the show guide.
I wonder if it has to do with the Pixar parade, maybe they "swap" houses at night and trade off which end they come from due to limited space backstage. It would make more sense than relocating them both each night to their starting points.

I have always had a hard time figuring our when certain shows/parades are going to be showing. Does anyone know the general schedule for the Electric Light Parade?

I have always had a hard time figuring our when certain shows/parades are going to be showing. Does anyone know the general schedule for the Electric Light Parade?I think the Electrical Parade is playing every night through August 23rd. But you can always go the Disneyland calender page (http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/en_US/calendar/daily/daily?name=CalendarDailyPage) and check. Just enter the day you will be arriving and the length of your stay.

Yes, I do know about the Disneyland site's calender, but there is a small problem with that...sometimes they take stuff off/put things on too late for me to plan a trip in advance.
Last time I took a group of people with us from AZ, NY, and TX. We planned it around when Fantasmic would be going, but at the last minute they took it back off the calender. Unfortunately for us it was too late to change all our flights. I was looking for a more average timeframe for the ELP. Maybe like what months or such?

ELP disappears after Labor Day, returns in June. Sometimes it reappears for Christmas.
