Hi,

We are planning a trip to arrive on 31st October and leaving on 12th November. We are hoping to go into the parks on sun 1st and see the halloween decorations as there is a MNSHP on the sunday.

However, I was looking at the Christmas Party on the WDW official website, and it says dates between 10th November and 19th December, so when do the christmas decorations usually go up? I would love to see the Osborne lights but didn't think they would be up that early!!

Thanks in advance.

I don't believe they turn on the Osborne lights until after Thanksgiving. (Though they start installing them in Sept I believe - it takes a while!)

It takes quite a while for the parks and resorts and Downtown Disney (and the Cruise Ships and Castaway Cay...) to get their decorations installed. Last year, they didn't put up the MK Christmas tree until after they shot the parade footage for the Christmas Day broadcast, and that's usually the weekend AFTER Thanksgiving weekend.

You may see SOME decorations, but things aren't fully 'done' until after Thanksgiving (and in the case of the MK tree, a bit after Thanksgiving).
