Does anyone know if the rooms at the Beach Club have been updated recently? We are staying on the conciege level in August. The last time we were there, the rooms were pretty tired looking.
Thanks,
Karr

We went in December and the room we were in was beautiful! Everything looked clean and brand new. The bed coverings just came out of the package! The Beach Club area is VERY nice. We stayed for three nights with three at POR beforehand! Pricey so we probably won't do it again...but so worth it for one trip!

I know from Mark's update this week that the Yach Club's rooms will be getting updated.

We got back from eight days at the Beach Club yesterday. We weren't on Concierge level but our rooms were definitely up to date. I don't know why they haven't improved the photos on their web sites, as their linens are much nicer than what is shown.

The bathrooms will never be luxurious, due to the size, but they were acceptable.

Our Mousekeeping was also very good, in case anyone is wondering.

Thank You Bernnette,
Your info made me feel better about our selection . I'm sure your trip was great.

PS
Did your room have a flat panel television?

Yes, it did have a flat screen tv (27 inches?), although we never turned it on until the day we left--to check weather.

I found it to be at rather odd angle and it couldn't be adjusted but we had an unusual corner room configuration and I'm not sure it would be a problem in other rooms.

Ha ha! You don't know us that well. I think we have about eight pictures of our trip, total. But I believe I saw someone's recent pictures on a Trip Advisor review and they were very accurate as to the room.

If I tell you I stay regularly at four and five star hotels and was pleasantly surprised with this room, will that help? (I was really worried that I'd go in and freak out about the room, relative to the price.) The room wasn't at Ritz levels in terms of size or decor, but it was pretty darn nice and service was quite good. The rest of the hotel amenities were fab (yes, the pool is all they say it is and the recreation/activities are extensive). I'd have to think further before saying I'd pay high season rates for this room but I do recommend this resort and I am very hard to please.

I'm very happy to hear all of this as we are staying there in June! Are you going to write a trip report?

I'm trying, but I don't know if I can finish by June. :)

Well, PM if there is anything specific that you don't think would come up in a normal report.

That's great!! hahahha. I take tons of pictures of the rooms and my boyfriend doesn't get why. I am strange like that! I'll check out trip advisor.
