Pets at Universal Orlando Hotels

Has anyone ever stayed at one of the Universal Orlando hotels with a pet? If so, what was your experience like?

I may be making a trip this summer and would consider bringing my dog.

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn NEAR downtown disney on route 535. You take the exit to downtown disney and instead of taking a right like going to DD you take a left. It's not that far from universal.....maybe a few miles. What we did was stayed with our dog in the hotel..they were very nice and then we took him with us to kennels at WDW during the day. We had no problems and the hotel was ok. It was an additonal fee like $20 per day but there was a walk area. Hope that helps!

The Lowes Hotels on Universal property are very pet friendly.

Pets are welcome, they used to get little gifts on checking in (but I'm not sure they still do).

And you get the FOTL passes which really make the price worthwhile.
