I was reading in one of the guide books that the moderate resorts will provide a refrigerator for free. Is this true? How big are they? Could I fit a half gallon of milk in them? We are currently considering Port Orleans French Quarter for our 2010 vacation. Not sure if this is a specific resort question or can be answered generally.
Thanks :)

Yes, for moderates and Deluxe resorts.
Its a small dorm fridge but you can fit 1/2 gals of milk or juice without any real problem.

When we stayed at the CB our room had one of those small personal size fridges you see in dorm rooms. I don't remember the dimensions but it's your standard small size one. Nothing spectacular. We took the shelf out of ours and were able to stand things up a lot easier. We used our mainly for bottled water. You should have no problem with a half gallon. Might have to tilt it a bit or remove the shelf.

I did have trouble getting anything in the little freezer section, though. The next trip, even though I had it on low, it froze the milk. Oh well! A quick phone call would've fixed it, but we just drank slushy milk.:geek:

We've stayed at the POFQ twice. Yes, they have refrig's, about 30" x 18". We kept milk, water and few snacks in it.
And for the record, POFQ is a beautiful little resort. It doesn't have the eating options of some of the bigger resort, but we liked it very much.

At any resort we were never charged for a fridge, but my wife is diabetic and had to keep the insulin in one. They never charged us, but we did have to request it be in the room.

Here's a picture of the fridge to help you out:

I don't know when your last visit was, but they are now standard in all Moderate and Deluxe rooms, dngnb8.
If you need one in a Value resort, you have to request it, but if it's for a medical reason (for example, to store insulin), then they do not charge you.

They are about four cubic feet. They are included automatically in the Moderate and Deluxe Resorts. There is a charge, currently about $15 per day, for rental at the value Resorts.
