Everest Kid 03-31-2009, 05:47 PM Some of my favorites are:
Favorite ride, Splash Mountain because it's fun to be on it and not JUST because of the drop.
Favorite show, Philharmagic, because it has a lot of my favorite characters in it.
Favorite restaurant, when the characters were there Liberty Tree Tavern, because the characters are fun and the food's good.
What are your favorites???
What other categories would you suggest???

tdelaney_98 03-31-2009, 07:11 PM Maybe they mean, favorites catagories? Like, favorite parade, favorite spot to people watch, favorite snack, etc?
houseofmouse 03-31-2009, 08:06 PM Favorite Snack- Popcorn or frozen Icee lemonades!
Favorite Land- Liberty Square
Favorite Show- Phiharmagic for sure!
Favorite Picture Spot- to the side of the Castle near Frontierland. Great pics can be taken there with the Castle in the background!
Favorite Restaraunt- Definitely Liberty Tree Tavern for us too. Yummy food and they had great interaction with the Characters.:)
adkinsfamily 04-01-2009, 08:55 AM I used to think that EPCOT was my favorite park, but now that I have young children I'd have to say that MK has become my favorite. My favorite thing is the feeling that I get when we arrive. It's this wonderful, nostalgic, teary-eyed feeling. We made it to the opening ceremony for the first time this year and I cried like a baby (and I'm 32). Nothing can beat MK and all of the magic that it holds for my girls. Just to see their faces makes me know that spending all of the money to get there was worth it. And, I do LOVE It's a Small World and the way it makes me feel and the reaction that my girls have to it. Nothing better!!!!:)
petesimac 04-01-2009, 09:11 AM Favorite snack: carmel corn from Sleepy Hallow.
Favorite cool snack: citrus swirl! Yum!
Favorite memories: my late wife and I had several dates at Magic Kingdom, and I still get a twinge of happiness/sadness when I spot some of the key locations of those dates in and around the park.
Favorite ride: Even though it's not as good as DL's version, it has to be POTC! Follwed closely by Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion and It's a Small World.
Favorite song: come on, you know the words, "It's a small world, afterall....."
Favorite time of the day: dusk; there is something so magical about the Magic Kingdom in the golden hour, the twilight, the dusk; I especially like riding Jungle Cruise at dusk.
Favorite location: Frontierland; I don't know why, but when you're that deep in the park, you feel almost lost, in a very good way. (At DL it's that really cool place near where they have Fantasmic, where there are several different levels of terrain; it's just so beautiful; nothing really like it at MK in Orlando.)
Favorite place to eat: Columbia Harbor House.
Favorite drink: the long forgotten and desperately missed rocket punch or liftoff punch or splashdown punch or something like that; they used to sell it at the snack shop under the rockets (can't remember their name either; am I getting old or what!?); it was like some kind of a peach-ish drink. It was so very good, especially on a really hot day.
Favorite discontinued ride: If You Had Wings.
Favorite sound: the train whistle with the boat whistle being a very close second.
Favorite thing to laugh at: the riders' screams as they plunge downward on Splash Mountain.
Favorite queue: POTC (at DL it would have to be Indiana Jones)
Favorite exit queue: the old House of Tomorrow at the original Space Mountain -- I finally saw a bit of it on an old home movie, 8mm, on You Tube -- just search for House of Tomorrow Space Mountain.
Favorite sound, part II: the slamming of the old monorail doors, just before the monorail took off.
Greg in TN 04-01-2009, 09:30 AM First of all, I'd have to say MK is my favorite park (with Epcot running a very close 2nd)
Favorite snack: churro, from the stand in Frontierland
Favorite location: Frontierland, specifically between Splash & BTMRR. It just seems so very much "Disney" right there.
Favorite place to "people watch": Columbia Harbor House, upstairs, overlooking the Fantasyland/Frontierland walkway
Favorite memory: The very first time I took my son (he was 6), walking up Main Street on our way over to Buzz Lightyear.
Favorite sound: The opening bars of the MK Rope Drop show.
Favorite song: Zip-a-dee-do-dah, and all of the Splash Mtn songs.
Favorite smell: the fresh-popped pop corn from the carts all over the park
Favorite non-thrill ride: Peoplemover.
Favorite photograph I've ever taken: The castle, taken from the Peoplemover as we go from the Buzz Lightyear bldg to the Mickey's Star Trader's bldg.
Oh boy, I'll prob'ly have lot more that I could add to this list after our trip in May. :)

stan4d_steph 04-02-2009, 12:48 PM All of the McDonald's things inside the parks on both coasts have been removed. The former Frontierland Fry Cart location is now the Golden Oak Outpost. There's some information in Mark's WDW Update here (http://www.mouseplanet.com/8701/Walt_Disney_World_Resort_Update).

Avacrand 04-04-2009, 03:39 AM I'm coming in on this a little late but reading all of your collective favorites makes me want to be there NOW!!
Last year in July, my DS who was 13 at the time, and I stayed in MK until about 2am or whenever they finally closed for EMH. When I was sitting at the top of the big drop in Splash Mountain and we looked over at the Castle which was purple or whatever at that exact moment, I can't remember being that happy ever before in my life! (Except maybe when I actually had the afore mentioned DS..lol.)
I think Splash has to be my all time favorite.
