Monorail [staying at Disneyland Hotel]?

This trip will be my first staying at the Disneyland Hotel. (so extremely excited about it too!)

Can someone please tell me about the monorail. What is the station's proximity to the hotel? Can you get on and off at the Tomorrowland station? or is it just a drop off station? Do you have to get off the monorail at the Downtown Disney station for Magic Morning or can you take it into Tomorrowland.

You can only ride the monorail if you have a Disneyland park ticket. There are two stops: Tomorrowland and Downtown Disney. You can take the monorail on a full round trip from Tomorrowland on slow days, but all others are one way only. If you want to do a full round trip, you must exit, and re-enter the queue. I don't know the details on Magic Mornimgs. The Disneyland hotel is at the end of Downtown Disney (with the entrance plaza of both parks at the other). It's a very short walk to the monorail station from the hotel. But there are three hotel towers, so depending on which one you get, your walk may be a bit longer. 5 minutes, tops.

Do you have to get off the monorail at the Downtown Disney station for Magic Morning or can you take it into Tomorrowland.

Thanks for your knowledge.It is usually fasater to walk into DL for MM, as the second run is 15-20 mins after the first, and if you aren't in the first 100, you will be later. Also, some mornings, the monorail has issues and isn't running first thing.

So if you ride from the DL hotel to Tomorrowland you skip the bag check?

The monorail entrance will be your secuirty check, since they will ask for tickets and do a bag search. That's it, same goes for re-entry during the day.

I've used the monorail for Magic Mornings twice, worked pretty well both times.
