When we travel to WDW in April, we'll have four non-park hopper MYW tickets, and my annual pass. So we'll only use three of the tickets, and save the unused one for the next trip or towards my AP renewal. I assume that I can't upgrade three of the four tickets to park hoppers without upgrading the fourth? Since my AP enables me to park-hop, I really don't need all four tickets upgraded. Am I correct to assume that I'd have to upgrade all four, since everyone on the reservation needs to be on the same plan? And if that's true, will they let me do it once I get there? Thanks.

(Someone please correct me if I am wrong) I believe that once you get your tickets you should be able to upgrade each one as you see fit.
Even if you did up upgrade the fourth, you should still be able to use it towards the AP cost anyway...
Usually the "everyone has the same thing" usually only pertains to the meal plan. ie: if you are on the meal plan, everyone on the ressie needs to be on the meal plan.
Again, someone will correct me if need be. I have upgraded tickets before, but they were ones that we got from undercovertourist.com and not directly from Disney.

A couple of years ago I upgraded my hopper ticket to an AP. If memory serves, I had purchased the tickets from a discounter, not part of a package. They did not ask whether my tickets had been purchased, as part of a package, or whether anybody else under the same reservation was upgrading their tickets. I don't think that Guest Services at a park knows, or cares, what anybody else under the same reservation does with their tickets.

I think you can upgrade 3 of them after you're there, but I THINK the official package has to be the same for everyone.

If you have a package, once you are checked in and the tickets are in hand they can each, if desired, be separately modified/upgraded. It is only until they tickets are issued that all must be the same in a package.
And if you don't have a package there is no bearing.
