I have read lots of blogs, and I just got a few books on this subject, but I want to know everyone's PERSONAL opinion as to how we can do things DIFFERENTLY in Disney this time around. Let me first explain my trip then you tell me what I can add.... We are staying at Coronado Springs (looking forward to the RIX lounge)* in May for 11 day/10nights. We are getting the 1 sit down/1 quick service/1snack dining plan. We have annual passes- and we are doing Seaworld and Universal (both parks one day.) We are doing the luau and Dinner in the Castle (but not using the dining plan for those two) and for our anniversary we are eating at the Italian pavilion. We want to parasail ( we heard there is on at the Contemporary??) and we want to get messages.. Now KNOWING ALL THAT.. what else can we do that will be the non-traditional.. non-family type trip?? I AM OPEN TO ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL suggestions !!

Thanks for listening to me : ):fez:

We had a lot of fun on the segway tour at EPCOT. And if you happen to be divers, the divers in our family LOVED DiveQuest at Living Seas. They also have a Living Seas snorkeling type tour for non-divers that sounds pretty cool.

The Segway tour is fun - and there are other 'behind the scenes' tours that are a lot of fun, too. I REALLY like Backstage Magic -but that does take up a whole day (and includes lunch).

Do some of the stuff at the Boardwalk that you wouldn't do if you had kids in tow (Jelly Rolls comes to mind).

Oh, I'll tell you that my last, adults-only trip was a blast....see trip report in progress here: http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?t=123943.

Karaoke at the Swan (Kimonos) was fun.
I'd second JellyRolls.
Maybe an ESPN Zone game?
Rent a boat.
Go waterskiing.
Horseback riding.
Parasailing.
Afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian.
Spa treatments.
Carriage ride at POFQ.
Bongos is fun.
Cirque du Soleil.
House of Blues.
Raglan Road if they have live Irish music.

Oh, I could go on and on!

Since you're going to Rix, I assume you're drinking folks. You can enjoy wine at several locations around Epcot's World Showcase, including France, Germany, and Norway. Stop in at the Rose & Crown Pub an hour or so before IllumiNations and get a snootful. It brings a whole new level of magic to the nightly fireworks!
